I adore Julia for her film talent and charm, probably her fame will help sell LANCOME products, they however should focus on what is great about her look, hair, smile so lipstics, the truth is the price of the products should be lowered and it would make good all.

Julia IS in her 40′s. She’s 42 and I’m very happy Lancome had the smarts to choose someone a little older as a representative instead of some 20 something floozy. You expected a woman in her 20′s? Oh how original. (And ignorant).

Many cosmetic lines choose actors to promote them.
Perhaps because the are known to the public or perhaps because their video spots convey more?
Kate Winslet is one of our current Lancôme spokesmodels.
Uma Thurman was a previous one for Miracle.
Even Clive Owen for men’s fragrance
…and we can’t forget Isabella Rosselini! She is synonymous with Lancôme.
Julia Roberts with her all American girl smile will do just fine! Lancôme is a line for all ages, from Juicy Tubes to anti-age creams!

really poor choice, lovely woman and actress but so not Lancome! Lancome is the embodiment of frenchness, Frech style, chic.. Julia and her role are sooo not French, so not sensual..but maybe Lancome is after a growth in the US?

NOT a good choice, Lancome!!! You could do SO MUCH better than that. Maybe in her old movies she looks glamorous, but now Julia brings to mind an unkempt, foul-mouthed, scruffy hippie, with hairy armpits!!

Lancome is associated with glamour, and there are many 40ish actresses and models who represent that! Please find a new face Lancome!!!

I’m really surprised because she has always claimed to be environmentally aware. She has made a point of talking about only using products that are safe for you and the environment. Lancome, as well as other makers of cosmetics have ingredients that are not good for the body. I guess since she isn’t acting as much she wants the money. She literally sold out!

To Ann on the first page,

Elizabeth Hurley has been with Estee Lauder since 1995. She’s celebrating 15 years with the company next year. That doesn’t happen by accident. She has been integral to Estee Lauder’s success.

Julia Roberts is an odd fit for Lancome. She can’t sell perfume, she’s a self confessed ‘no makeup’ girl and she said in ‘Vanity Fair’ that looks are “95% genes” so I don’t think she’s a candidate for skincare either.
