Lindsay Lohan to Keep Her Post as Artistic Advisor at Ungaro

Guibbaud Christophe/Abaca

The saga continues! Two weeks ago, Emanuel Ungaro blasted his eponymous design house’s controversial new fashion consultant, Lindsay Lohan, calling her first collection, “a disaster” — and now the label’s President and Chief Executive Mounir Moufarrige is hitting back, announcing that he has no plans to give Lindsay the boot. “Yes [she's staying on], she has a job to do” he told Reuters at the Milan Fashion Global Fashion Summit on Monday. As for the criticism directed at Lindsay, who notoriously sent models down the runway in pasties and bras, Moufarrige, says “The criticism was harsh. I am sure we can do better in the collection to be honest but I think it was harsh,” before adding, “But it did sell well.” And as for the founder’s criticism of the design house’s new direction? “Mr Ungaro has his views, he can keep them.” Moufarrige says, “I have no comment.” Tell us: Do you hope that Ungaro will continue to keep Lindsay on as their Fashion Consultant?

Naeem Khan on Designing for Michelle Obama’s First State Dinner: “I Feel So Happy”

Jason Reed/Landov

First Lady Michelle Obama made Jason Wu a household name when she wore his white gown to the presidential Inaugural ball, and she’s bound to have the name Naeem Khan on the tongues of women across the country over the holiday after wearing one of his designs to her first, India-themed, State Dinner last night in Washington D.C. “I feel so happy to be a part of this historical event between the two countries where my heart lies,” the India-born designer tells PEOPLE. “I am relieved to have a job well done and am so honored to have been chosen. This is a Thanksgiving in its truest form for me and one that I will never forget — an American dream coming true.” The designer, who immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager, looked to the theme of the dinner to create Mrs. Obama’s one-of-a-kind sterling silver sequin dress with an abstract floral motif, which the First Lady accented with dramatic Bochic earrings. No wonder Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh said in his toast that he was “overwhelmed…by the grace and charm of the First Lady.”

Lady Gaga Reveals the Inspiration Behind Her Heartbeats Headphones

Sara De Boer/Startraks

While Lady Gaga may be known for her totally over-the-top creations these days, she tells PEOPLE that her new Heartbeats jewel-inspired headphones were actually inspired by her favorite jackets she wore growing up. “I wore studded leather jackets, me and my friends in New York,” Gaga said, at a launch event Monday for the headphones at Best Buy in LA. But of course, there are larger issues at play for the pop provocateur as well. “Lifestyle, grit, passion and love for music, freedom. These were the things I thought about when we were designing [the headphones]. So they really reflect a headphone that I just think is really great looking and represents who I am.” The Heartbeats by Lady Gaga headphones are part of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone collection from Monster, and will be sold at Best Buy’s new Club Beats department. You can also buy them at Amazon for about $100. –reporting by Jessica Wedemeyer

Kellan Lutz: I’m a “Fashionista”

Stephen Lovekin/Getty

While his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson admitted to reporters that he doesn’t worry too much about his red carpet looks, saying “I guess I see which one fits and which one looks all right, ” Kellan Lutz says he’s “a fashionista.” At the D&G and Cinema Society-sponsored screening of New Moon in N.Y.C. last Thursday, Lutz came camera-ready in a sleek Dolce & Gabbana suit. And while costars Ashley Greene and Kristen Stewart twirled around the party in designer frocks from Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino respectively, Lutz opined to Stylelist.com that the sexiest thing a woman can wear is “my clothes. A long business shirt. Maybe just that. That covers enough. I like when my girlfriends wear my sweatpants and my Ugg shoes and my tank tops and t shirts.” Not that they can keep them — Lutz told PEOPLE emphatically, “I never let my girlfriends keep my clothes! No!” – reporting by K.C. Baker
