Lindsay Lohan to Keep Her Post as Artistic Advisor at Ungaro

Guibbaud Christophe/Abaca

The saga continues! Two weeks ago, Emanuel Ungaro blasted his eponymous design house’s controversial new fashion consultant, Lindsay Lohan, calling her first collection, “a disaster” — and now the label’s President and Chief Executive Mounir Moufarrige is hitting back, announcing that he has no plans to give Lindsay the boot. “Yes [she's staying on], she has a job to do” he told Reuters at the Milan Fashion Global Fashion Summit on Monday. As for the criticism directed at Lindsay, who notoriously sent models down the runway in pasties and bras, Moufarrige, says “The criticism was harsh. I am sure we can do better in the collection to be honest but I think it was harsh,” before adding, “But it did sell well.” And as for the founder’s criticism of the design house’s new direction? “Mr Ungaro has his views, he can keep them.” Moufarrige says, “I have no comment.” Tell us: Do you hope that Ungaro will continue to keep Lindsay on as their Fashion Consultant?

I think the only reason it sold well because her name was on it!
I think u should be focusing your attentions on people that have design knowledge and not some two-bit out-of-rehab star that wears what people tell her wear and give a job to a design student!

I love Lindsay, she should keep the job.

Interesting, they covered themselves in case the collection didn’t sell and, when it did, backtracked like crazy. The collection wasn’t good, but it’s making them (a lot of) money. Now she’s got a chance to do something better, I hope she takes it.

Keeping Lindsey on is like rewarding a dog for peeing on the rug by buying a new rug. Those rewarding this girl need to drop her and find a new one, preferably one with talent.

Natalie, I agree with you completely! Give the job to someone with the knowledge and talent to do the job well!

I think that her name has no credibility at all anymore. Why don’t they give it someone with more cred, Paris perhaps. ;) Even SHE is better.

YAY! Thank goodness! I love Lindsay!

She had some aspiration’s I’m guessing from Florida design what is most common for designs for evening and day wear for young women,
I liked the jeans with the colored strips, If she is really bringing business for them, it’s good, who would want to really cross her out, alot of other people were considered marked for thier dwellings in pap’s world over decades, why dose she have to different, the world is still looking!
