I love dreadlocks and I would definetly wear these kind of dreads like Shakira has. In my opinion she is just the right person to wear them and she does great!

I think Shaikira looks great & yes I would try my hair like this… this is not dreadlocks tho but simply twisting the hair (dreads lock ie mat & can be washed just like non dreaded hair so they are not dirty!??). Great easy style and funky… :))

I absolutely would wear my hair in that style. No, they’re not dreads, but its cool none the less…Perhaps twists is the way to go if you want the look of dreads but be able to change it out.

Ok, first of all, dreadlocks aren’t yucky or dirty. I wash mine every two or three days, or if the get dirty, sooner, with a deep clean every month. Second, I have seen people brush out mature locks and condition the hair, and it was fine. Third, most dreads are greasy. Only if you use wax, which is frowned upon by most dreadheads, because it attracts dirt and hinders the locking process. And lastly, these dont even look like dreads. If i saw her on the street, I wouldn’t even think of dreads.

Dreads are just so icky and greasy. They totally do not suit her style. I would never, ever inflict this upon myself!

They are not dreads they are twists of hair. I have had real dreads for about for years and no they “don’t always look dirty”

This is the worst thing anyone could do to their hair. It looks corny. Leave that for the rastas and the people who HAVE the hair for that style. It just looks like she is trying too hard to be trendy. Dumb! I have the same kind of strong hair as Shakira (only healthier and not blond). There is no way your hair is going to bounce back without it falling out and having to use treatment after treatment. It looks dumb!
