Pamela Anderson Launches Budget-Friendly Signature Fragrance

Seth Browarnik/Startraks

Juggling a shapely perfume bottle in each hand, Pamela Anderson, launched her much-anticipated first fragrances Malibu Blue and Malibu Pink in partnership with International Beauty Brands at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. last night in signature sexy style. “Both fragrances are fresh, chic and luxurious — and totally inspired by the Malibu surf lifestyle that I love,” the former Baywatch babe told PEOPLE. “They are all-natural and embody my free spirit and passionate, ‘get in trouble’ side. Plus, the line is so affordable!” And cost was key for the actress, who wanted the products to be available in drugstores across the nation. “I am a drugstore whore,” Pamela continues. “I worship drug stores. You have to pull me out of them. My dream is for every woman to be able to go to her favorite drug store and buy an affordable fragrance which will make her feel sexy.” And the PETA advocate also made sure that the scents fit with her animal-friendly lifestyle. “Once we completed the product — the glamorous bottle, and the pink and blue packaging — and we were assured everything was ecologically perfect and cruelty free, I was ready to go for it,” she says, adding that a portion of proceeds will benefit the animal charity. Malibu Blue, which contains notes of wild berries and white florals, and Malibu Pink, which combines sandalwood, caramel and vanilla bourbon, range in price from $39 for a 1.7 ounce to $49 for a 3.4 ounce spray, and are rolling into stores now. Tell us: Will you spritz on Pamela’s scent?–Linda Marx

I’d rather hose myself down with cat pee.

Drug store perfumes smell like used gym socks to me. If I am going to pay almost forty dollars for a scent I won’t go to the drug store. I will go to the mall.

Meow on

Get a grip, don’t you think in the middle of a recession this is a good idea? Who cares if you like her as a celebrity/person, it’s a good idea to market your product towards the everyday working person. For all of you too high on your pedestal to look at it in a positive light, I hope you fall off someday and are left to shop at lower class places worse than a drug store.

stacey on

Does her nose look big in this picture?

Mary on

She wants to make sure everyone can smell as cheap as she is.

LMAO! Everyone else said what I was already thinking…cheap perfume from a cheap lady.

She became a top actress after the appears on Playboy so after the fame arrived to her the rest is history .
Money, power plus more to show for her and now this collection perfume for sale to the public.
Thanks again Pamela.

I would love to try the fragrances…and the fact that you don’t have to go to a Mall to buy it..I also love drugstore finds. And I love that she is giving a portion of the money to save animals. That is very unselfish of her considering she has been in the news for having money problems.

To Jose…what?

stacey on

Does no one think that her nose looks big?

Good one Jae!! LMAO

I saw Pamela on Ellen today, and I just thought that she was so charming. I love that they are cruelty-free, and that a portion of the sales goes to an animal charity.

The most impressive part of this- is that is PETA approved!

Nice!

Sandy-Blonde on

You bet I will. I am a real animal activist and I appreciate that part of the proceeds are going to animal charity. It’s too bad the high end perfumers don’t put part of their proceeds to help other charities on this planet. Way to go Pam!!!

jack lynn on

Is she kidding I saw the video with Tommy She does have a big nose

jack lynn on

Is she kidding, I saw the video with Tommy I do not want to have my wife smell like Pam

If you want to go to the mall and pay extra for the fancy counters, fancy bottles with Swarovski crystals, ad campaigns and fancy salespeople, be my guest. Don’t think you’re paying extra because of the quality of the perfume! The eco-friendly ingredients Pam is using are more expensive than the chemicals used by Coty, for example, who produces most fragrances out there, not to mention the fact that they test the perfume on the skin and eyes of real animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, even cats and dogs.

Pam is doing a great thing and I will buy the fragrance as soon as I find it.

Jessie on

I agree with Jae!

Wow- I can’t believe how judgmental some of you are being. I’ve never been a “fan” of Pam, but I completely agree with her vegan lifestyle. I am definitely going to purchase her perfume. She’s a real person who made some decisions in her life which some people don’t agree with…but that doesn’t take away from her kind heart. Give her a break…

Sillybetch on

Psh,slu*.And yeah,her nose does look big.lol=p

joanie on

why is everybody hating are they jelious or what pam is a wonderful person we’ve all had our ups and downs and shes doing it for a great cause i would loe to buy both of them i bet they smell really good and nobody said anything when she was on baywatch shes just had bad press and at least she not hinding from all the stuff people say about her shes holding her head up high you go pam

MrsY on

I saw Pamela on Ellen and thought the perfume sounded really cool and really wanted to check it out. Two reasons I WON’T be buying it now:
First- in my little world, $30 – $40 is still way too much for a bottle of perfume. I thought she said it was affordable.
Second- proceeds go to PETA. There are many, many other animal charities out there to help besides one of the most radical. I want no part of that.
That’s just my opinion–

Brad on

Why do people say all the rude comments? I think she is a a fine lady and very hot. All the rude comments is just saying you wish you were her .So just shut your hole . If it isn’t nice don’t say it all!!!!!!!

Lorie on

I can’t wait to try Pam’s new perfume and I love that she is not testing on animals. People who say spiteful things about her are just envious and wish they had it like her. To the woman who says Pam wants everyone to smell as “cheap as her”, I bet you wish you were worth as much as Pam is worth.

Cierra on

Do you people not realize that the same expensive perfumes that you can buy at the mall are also available at drug stores like CVS, Wallgreens and more? That is just ignorance. Are you saying that Baby Phat, Bvlgari, Burberry, Coolwater, Acqua Di Gio or Attitude by Giorgio Armani, Drakkar, Dolce & Gabbana, DNKY and Kenneth Cole are cheap, too, because you can get them at the drug store? Jealous females always have something ignorant to say.

carol on

BUDGET FRIENDLY?????????? NO WAY !

jenn on

Sillybetch on

Hey,joanie stfu.Trust me,no one is jealous of a plastic immature slu*!

Sillybetch on

Go jump off a bridge,Jen!>o<

Carol on

LOL! People can be so cruel to one another but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I would try the perfume regardless of who the celebrity is. I love perfume and I like to sample them all.

I’m an upper East Coast perfumista, with a collection that includes scores of exclusive, super-serious, beautifully refined and aesthetically cerebral scents. And I’m sick of them. Too whiny and moody. I’d love to try something upbeat with a touch of breezy-sweet, West Coast, Hollywood type glam. Why not? The economic gloom and doom that surrounds us is serious enough. These seem fun, affordable and produced with an ethical spirit in mind. And I’ll bet Ms. Anderson is far more intelligent and reflective than most people pick-up on. I’ll give these a chance…

sarah on

To those of you that say that you wont buy it cause its sold in drugstores, so is Calvin Klein, DKNY, LUCKY, and Angel fragrances to name a few. They are not discounted, they are just there for our convience. I think they both sound like they smell wonderful especially the pink one. Every celebrity has out a fragrance now and they all sell theres in the drugstores too.

Why would anyone want to smell like Pamela Anderson? What does it smell like used condoms, dirty panties, and cootchie?

Candy Mearse on

I have been looking in every drug store since I seen Pamela Anderson on the Ellen show in Nov. I would love to purchase her new Pink and Blue fragrances, but have yet been able to find them. If anyone can direct me to a place that carries her line I would be very grateful. I admire all the great things Ms. Anderson is doing with her life. Keep up the great work PLEASE. Thanks, Candy

Ginger on

Candy, I’ve been looking since then too. It was supposed to be at CVS and Walgreens and hasn’t shown up at either one. This could turn out to be another of Pamela’s neglected ventures, like her shoes and clothes and TV shows that she started and then abandoned without explanation. I was really looking forward to this one because both scent combinations sounded good to me.
