Zac Posen Set to Design for Target!

Mark Von Holden/WireImage

While we anxiously await Rodarte’s Target collection to hit stores on December 20, we already have a new designer collaboration to get excited about for spring: Zac Posen! The star-favorite designer is slated to be the next limited edition designer for Target’s Go International series, reports WWD. Zac Posen, who is a red carpet favorite of stars like Rachel Bilson, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow and more, will be bringing his high-fashion styles to most Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from April 25 through May 30. And while Target has not disclosed the prices for Zac’s collection, previous limited-edition designer Go collections have ranged from $15-$150 — which is a steal compared to Posen’s star-loved collection that ranges from $900 to $12,000, with custom pieces starting at $20,000! Zac Posen isn’t a stranger to lower priced collections or designing for Target. The designer created a collection of red-carpet gowns, short dresses and tailored pants for Australian Target stores for Fall 2008. And this spring, Zac will be launching another lower price point collection, Z Spoke, exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue with prices ranging from $78 for a cotton T-shirt to $675 for a knit dress. Patrick Dempsey on His New Fragrance Campaign — Costarring His Wife

Courtesy Avon

His second fragrance with Avon, Patrick Dempsey 2 is just launching across America, but Grey’s Anatomy‘s McDreamy tells PEOPLE that the inspiration for the follow-up fragrance was surprisingly close-to-home. “The first was about the individual, following your passion and all of that,” he explains of last year’s Unscripted, so for the second fragrance he thought, “Why not take it to the next step and go, ‘this is about two people and the power of the relationship.’” When ad execs suggested that he bring in a model to star with him in the campaign, he rejected the idea outright, telling them, “I don’t feel comfortable having a model in [the ads]. I’m married, and that’s not something I want to project.” His solution? “Why can’t I just use my wife and make it about that?” And they did just that, with Patrick’s spouse of ten years, Avon Creative Color Director Jillian Dempsey, modeling by his side in the sunset beach shots for Patrick’s mandarin, spiced wood and green fig fragrance. So just how was it mixing work and home life? “It was a nice moment for us to be together,” he says. Patrick Dempsey 2 cologne starts at $30 for a 2.5-oz. bottle. Tell us: What do you think of Patrick and Jillian’s husband-and-wife campaign? Will you buy Patrick Dempsey 2 for the McDreamy in your life? –Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Paris Hilton’s Surprising Style Revelation: “I Am Still a Tomboy”

Juan Rico/Fame

She’s already created a fashion empire of handbags, fragrances and hair extensions, and now Paris Hilton has a new addition to her style stable, with two more beauty products: The Celebrity Styler flat iron and Ultimate Brush. “There are a lot of products out there that don’t work, they’re a rip-off,” the star told PEOPLE at a launch event for the products at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. “I wanted to make something that was affordable, that works. It’s fast, it’s easy and you don’t need a hair stylist.” Paris’s mom Kathy weighed in on why her daughter had the perfect skill-set to be a hair care success: “She’s a hair fanatic,” Kathy explained to PEOPLE. “That’s why with the Simple Life she decided to do those hair extensions, because she went crazy thinking ‘I’m going to be without a blow-dryer for four weeks!’” Sister Nicky concurred, saying, “She’s always loved experimenting with different makeup and hairstyles, so I think this product is a lot of fun for her.” Paris, however, admitted to PEOPLE an unexpectedly unglamorous side to herself. “I still am a tomboy. I love to go fishing. I love sports. I used to play ice hockey. You know, I think people only see the glamour and the parties, but when I’m at home I’m completely different.” Learn more about the Celebrity Styler, $60, and Ultimate Brush, $10, at Sallybeauty.com. — reporting by Pearl Barraclough

Alicia Keys Debuts Her Inspirational Jewelry Collection

Sara Jaye Weiss/Startraks

Ask new jewelry designer Alicia Keys to choose a favorite piece from her collection of handcrafted necklaces co-created with The Barber’s Daughters designer Gisele Theriault, and you’ll find she’s hard pressed to do so. “They’re all so beautiful,” the Grammy award-winning R&B singer told PEOPLE during a preview of the line on Tuesday. “I definitely love the one we chose [to benefit Keep A Child Alive, for] the Black Ball. It says, ‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others,’ which is a Gandhi quote — which I love.” Items from the Fall 2010 line range in price between $85 to $2,500, but each is inscribed with inspirational sayings which Keys and Theriault collaborated on choosing. “We both love words,” Keys explains. “She’s a great writer and I love to write.” In fact, it wasn’t even until Keys met Theriault through her bandmates that Alicia got the idea to design. “In regards to her jewelry, how it can spread such an uplifting message — I love the fact that that’s the focus of the pieces. Of course they’re beautiful aesthetically, but the purpose is more how the words influence us.” Now that she has a taste of design, would she ever branch into apparel line or even fragrance? “Sure, the world is endless and possible — as long as it resonates with that message,” Alicia emphasizes.
