Lindsay Lohan On Her Ungaro Debut: “I Am Learning”

Marion Curtis/Startraks

The Paris fashion world never expected to see pasties on the runway. Nor, apparently, did the creative consultant behind the disastrous line, Lindsay Lohan. The actress, 23, who was skewered by the fashion press for the first Ungaro collection she served as artistic advisor on, blamed the fiasco on “coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection.” As for the much-maligned sequined pasties flashed by the models when they opened their jackets and blouses, Lohan said told PEOPLE on Wednesday at a Victoria’s Secret Velvet launch party in New York that she was as shocked as the audience. “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out,” she says, adding that “I am going back to Paris for the next collection….I am learning.” Still, the clock for her next collection is already ticking. “It’s already in January,” she says. “I thought it was in March.” –Isley Kasica

Gossip Girl Style Breakdown: Season Three, Episode Five

Giovanni Rufino/The CW

Lily Bass, played by Kelly Rutherford, might have ditched the black tie wedding for a garden ceremony at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, but that doesn’t mean her Upper East Side guests were any less fashionable. Her daughter, Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, celebrated her mother’s nuptials in an olive green J. Mendel strapless dress with beaded detail paired with muted red heels. Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester, also brought high-fashion out of Manhattan donning a color block embroidered Valentino Red dress. And though Serena and Blair’s garden wedding looks are as different as night and day, we love them both! Get their looks for less here.

New Moon Stars Share Their Killer Style Secrets with Self

Courtesy Self

Thanks to the sexy vampires of New Moon, being bad has never looked so good. Rachelle Lefevre, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz are featured in the November issue of Self and opened up to the magazine about their personal style — or in Lefevre’s case, Kate Moss‘s style. The actress calls the model her “style icon” and confesses that when she’s getting dressed, she always asks herself what Moss would do. “She’s sort of the Tweety bird in my head going, ‘You don’t have to dress that up sweetheart, you can go outside in your shorts and your T-shirt and your flats, and you’ll be just fine.’” For Greene, a former model, the perfect wardrobe starts with a pair of killer high heels. “I’m a big fan of Jimmy Choo,” she tells the magazine. “Love them a lot, even though they might not be the most comfortable. They’re beautiful, beautiful shoes. And then I feel like everyone needs to have your staple Christian Louboutin shoes.” Her other must-haves: Rebecca Minkoff bags to “spice up” a plain outfit (“She does a lot of fun colors”) and Dolce & Gabbana gowns for the red carpet. “Being a girl, when you find something that fits you well, you just kind of latch on to it,” explains Greene, who actively supports DonateMyDress.org, an organization that supplies prom dresses to teens. In Lutz’s case, his best accessory may be his arms — or at least they are for his character Emmett Cullen. “He’s very athletic,” he says of the vampire. “So he likes wearing sporty stuff, stuff that maybe shows off his muscles . . . stuff that’s not too stiff. So that he could go eat a bear if he wanted to.” Off-screen, his requirements are much less specific. “My style is pretty comfy,” he says. “I mean, I just love jeans and boots.” See more at Self.com. –Joey Bartolomeo.
