The Inside Scoop on Ivanka Trump’s Wedding Gown and Hair

Brian Marcus/Fred Marcus Photography

While Ivanka Trump looked no further than her own jewelry collection for her something sparkling for her wedding to Jared Kushner this weekend, the heiress sought out famed wedding gown designer Vera Wang for her “something new.” Ivanka and Vera Wang worked closely to create the perfect couture wedding gown inspired by the gown Princess Grace Kelly wore to wed Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956. The result — a hand made lace gown fit for a princess. To complement her majestic gown, Ivanka paid long time hair stylist Julien Farel a visit 10 days prior to the wedding for a trim and “Park Avenue Blonde” highlights. And though Wang was still putting the finishing touches on Ivanka’s wedding gown just days before the ceremony, the heiress was “really calm” according to Suelyn Farel, whose husband Julien cut about an inch and half off of Ivanka’s blonde tresses. “She really just wanted to make sure she had a fabulous trim so her hair would be able to style well the day of the wedding,” Suelyn tells PEOPLE. Watch as Vera Wang describes the work and inspiration behind Ivanka’s couture wedding gown. Tell us: What do you think of Ivanka Trump’s wedding gown?reporting by Isley Kasica

Joyce Boghosian-The White House/Landov; Sonia Mosk

Bravo’s Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development and newest late night talk show host Andy Cohen admits that he’s “obsessed” with She By Sheree, the fashion line from The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield. “It is the greatest name for a fashion line ever,” Cohen told PEOPLE at the recent Fashion Group International Night of Stars at Cipriani Wall Street, where he and BRAVO executive Francis Berwick were honored with a Fashion Oracle Award. “I can’t stop talking about it. I’ve done 14 episodes of Watch What Happens:Live! and every episode, I ask people, ‘Are you wearing She by Sheree?’” In fact, Cohen is pushing for the line to make it into the First Lady’s wardrobe. “I had Michelle Obama’s hairdresser Johnny Wright on last week,” he tells us. “And I said, ‘What is it going to take to get the First Lady into a She by Sheree frock?’ And he said that he’s anxiously awaiting what the line presents to see. He said if Sheree creates something great, maybe it will happen. So tonight,” Cohen said. “I’m really pushing for the first lady to wear She by Sheree!’” And while She by Sheree debuted on last month during New York Fashion Week, everyone got a taste of She by Sheree on last week’s season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Tell us: Do you think Michelle Obama should wear She by Sheree? Vote! Jeffrey Slonim

But of course, each girl put her own sexy spin on her flapper-inspired look. Serena flashed her long legs in a silver sparkling Collette Dinnigan minidress paired with a diamond Jennifer Behr hair clip and Christian Louboutin Pumps. Blair, on the other hand, took a more authentic approach in a white, beaded fringe Alberta Ferretti frock topped with a black Suzanna Dai collar.
