Gaga Channels Beyoncé for Their Video Collaboration; Becomes “Gee-Yoncé”

Frank Micelotta/PictureGroup

Is Lady Gaga abandoning her wacky fashion sense? No, thankfully, but for her video collaboration with Beyoncé, the zany dresser channeled the sexy and sleek style of the R&B pop princess — so well, she was nicknamed “Gee-yoncé” during the making of the video. Paparazzi photos from the “Video Phone” shoot show Gaga in an outfit that looks in line with Beyoncé’s sleeker style — a white strapless leotard, matching opera gloves and long, flowing hair. “When I was doing her video with her, she called me, and she said, ‘What do you want to do?’” Gaga revealed in an interview with New York’s Z100 radio station on Tuesday morning. “And I’m like, ‘I don’t want to show up in some frickin’ hair bow and be fashion Gaga in your video.’ I said, ‘I want to do you.’” In the same interview, Gaga said she just wanted to “do my version of Beyoncé, so the whole time I was learning the choreography they were calling me Gee-yoncé.” “Video Phone” is Beyoncé’s next single from the album “I Am…Sasha Fierce.” Gaga also mentioned that she and Beyoncé are working on music together, but did not elaborate on the details. We can’t wait for that to happen! –Kristin Larson

Reese, Courteney and More Dish on Their Frightening and Furry Halloween Costumes

Dave Allocca/Startraks

They’re creepy and they’re kooky….at least Reese, Courteney, and McDreamy and their kids will be on Halloween. The famous Avon faces ringing your bell that night won’t be making a sales call, but rather, they’ll be trick or treating with their children. “My son Darby is into skeletons and anything with skull and crossbones,” presenter Patrick Dempsey told PEOPLE at The Avon Foundation for Women Benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York Tuesday. “They’ve been practicing for Halloween for about a month now.” And their daughter is also going for the dark side. “My daughter is going to be the gothic princess skeleton,” added McDreamy’s wife (and Avon’s Global Creative Color Director) Jillian Dempsey. “We’re going as the Addams Family,” chimed in Courteney Cox Arquette, also a presenter. And her little daughter Coco? “She’s going to be Wednesday,” said Cox, while husband David is going to be Gomez. Not everyone is that settled, as the evening’s co-host, Reese Witherspoon, claimed she didn’t know yet what the kids would dress as on Halloween. “But I’m going to be a monster,” said Witherspoon. “I found a great furry costume and I had to buy it.” And even those trick or treating without little ones are getting into the spirit, with Lauren Conrad making her own clown costume. “It just sounded fun,” she said. “And I figured it was the only costume that I could wear with flats. I can wear tennis shoes. You get tired of heels!“ – Jeffrey Slonim

Julianne Moore Lavishes Praise on Director Tom Ford: “Incredibly, Incredibly Meticulous”

Newspress/Splash News Online

Julianne Moore says acclaimed designer Tom Ford doesn’t just have a masterful fashion sense: the role of film director is also a perfect, elegant fit. Moore, who co-stars with leading man Colin Firth in Ford’s much anticipated directorial debut A Simple Man, told PEOPLE at the Hollywood Film Festival’s Hollywood Awards that the former Gucci designer’s renowned aesthetic sense and attention to detail was critical in creating the film’s stylish storytelling and lavish production design. “Tom is incredibly, incredibly meticulous and has a work ethic like nothing I’ve ever seen,” Moore explained. “He works very, very hard and is always very prepared and cares about every tiny detail.” The film, based on the Christopher Isherwood novel, is set in the early 1960s, and Ford recruited the award winning production design team from Mad Men to create a textured environment that painstakingly evoked the era. Moore, who’s long worn Ford-created fashions, said she was just as eager to let him tailor her performance. “Tom and I have been friends for a really long time and he always wanted to make a movie” she explained. “It was one of those things where one day he had the script and he sent it to me and asked me to do it. I loved the part. I love the film, but I LOVED the part and I’m really impressed with him. This is an amazing accomplishment and I’m very happy to have been included in it.” The actress and Firth are already generating awards buzz for their performances, and Moore said she thinks this won’t be Ford’s only foray into film-making. “I think he really enjoyed himself making the movie,” she said. “He really had a wonderful time and I’m sure he’ll direct more films.”–Scott Huver

Husband Josh Duhamel Gives Fergie’s New Fragrance A Thumbs Up

AP/Evan Agostini

Fergie’s new Avon fragrance hasn’t been named yet, but it already has hubby and actor Josh Duhamel’s stamp of approval. The Black Eyed Peas singer talked about the “fresh and yet modern” scent she’s been developing for the beauty giant, which is launching in November 2010. “We’ve been designing this for over a year,” said Fergie, who performed at the Avon Foundation for Women benefit held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York on Tuesday, about her first-ever scent. “But I’ve been keeping my big mouth shut about it. I wanted it to smell fresh and yet modern at the same time…it’s definitely for confident, strong women.” And what exactly does Josh think about the fragrance? “He loved it…of course he does,” she said, adding, “I just made sure that he liked it, because that would be important.” Looking happy and content in a feathered Valentino dress, the newlywed (the two married on Jan. 10) described married life as “wonderful.” “I am happy,” she told PEOPLE. “I just saw him. We had a romantic rendezvous in Oklahoma City, because I’ve been on tour with U2, so he came to visit me there. And I’m going to go visit him on the set of his film Life as We Know It with Katherine Heigl.” –reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson Tee Up for Invisible Children

Peter Wintersteller/Berliner

In spite of Kristen Bell‘s busy acting career, the Couples Retreat star still took the time to make saving the world look stylish. Last week, Bell joined Pete Wentz and Rachel Bilson to co-host the Guess/Vanity Fair party in Los Angeles to launch special edition organic Guess T-shirts that benefit the nonprofit organization Invisible Children. Pairing one of the T-shirts with a sexy Vena Cava dress and Christian Louboutin pumps, Bell talked to PEOPLE about her involvement with the organization, which promotes youth education and economic development in war-torn regions of Central East Africa. “It’s just standing up for humanity, which I think is really important for us to do for each other,” she said. Bilson agreed, saying, “It’s also important to spread the word about these T-shirts. You can buy them, and all the proceeds go to Invisible Children.” The party stayed lively with Wentz behind the DJ booth and attendance by celebrity friends such as Annalynne McCord and Eliza Dushku with boyfriend Rick Fox. Buy your own Guess Invisible Children T-shirt for $26 on Guess.com, with 100% of the proceeds going to the organization. –Susan Yara

Queen Latifah “Believes” for Macy’s Holiday Campaign

Courtesy Macy’s

Ho! Ho! Ho! The always upbeat Queen Latifah will bring joyous good cheer to Macy’s this year, starring in the retailer’s new seasonal TV commercials, which break Nov. 6. Part of Macy’s “Believe” campaign, the nostalgic commercials are called “The Trek” and are inspired by the famous New York Sun editorial “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” from 1897. The spots feature “Virginia” on a journey from her home to Macy’s, where Queen Latifah helps her mail her letter to Santa. Macy’s “Believe” campaign, which supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, also includes a national Santa tour, an honorary National Believe Day, a “Yes, Virginia” animated special and letter-writing “Believe” stations in Macy’s stores across the country. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million. This is not the first time Latifah has worked with Macy’s; she was part of the retailer’s “Come Together” fall campaign and also sells a fragrance at the store called “Queen.” –Kristin Larson
