Rachel Bilson on her Revolving Style: “I’m Constantly Trying New Things and Experimenting”

Courtesy of Lucky Magazine

Since her days on the O.C., Rachel Bilson‘s always-chic and on-trend street style has turned her into a bona fide fashionista. So what is it about the 28-year-old star’s style that keeps us intrigued? “I’m constantly trying new things and experimenting, so I never really settle on one style,” Rachel tells Lucky Magazine. “By the time I figure out how to define my look, I’m usually ready to move on to something else.” And come fall, Rachel will be experimenting with one of the season’s must-haves. “I’m excited about the great jackets with strong shoulders this season. It’s a cool throwback to the ’80s,” says the November cover girl. Though Rachel is fond of an ever-changing wardrobe, she does have her favorites. “I’m a huge fan of Helmut Lang for everyday items that are comfortable, easy to throw on, and always look good,” she says. Another one of Rachel’s favorite designers is Brian Reyes. “[He] makes the most beautiful, feminine clothes. I’m always eager to see what he does next.” And being the fashionista she is, the designer is sure to plant his superstar friend in his front row come New York Fashion Week. Lucky girl! Read more of Rachel’s interview with Lucky where she dishes on her accessory philosophy and beauty picks at luckymag.com. And don’t forget to pick up your November issue on newsstands October 6.

inset: Flynet; Courtesy Jean Paul Gaultier

For her first U.S. tour, it looks like international superstar Kylie Minogue will be taking fashion cues from American music’s leading ladies. With couture costumes designed by Jean Paul Gaultier — the same designer responsible for Lady Gaga‘s outrageous VMA looks — Kylie will hit the stage sporting glittering bodysuits and long, sequined trenches identical to these sketches by the designer. And considering the designs’ notable lack of pants and sparkle overload, we can’t help but think Lady Gaga and Beyonce! Tell us: What do you think of Kylie Minogue’s Jean Paul Gaultier tour costumes?

How Designer Jenny Packham Got Jaime Pressly Wedding-Ready!

Joe Buissink

Jaime Pressly might finally be in newlywed bliss, but things had to have been more than a little tense leading up to her nuptials — especially when it came to making sure she had the perfect dress for her and her bridal party. When the My Name is Earl star asked one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham to create something special for her wedding day, time was of the essence. With only two months to go until the big day — and two bridal and 10 bridesmaid dresses to produce — it was no small task. “Jaime tried on some looks from Jenny’s bridal runway collection and provided feedback,” a rep for the British designer tells PEOPLE, adding: “After Jenny sketched several designs, Jaime selected the two looks and we went into production.” With no time to spare, eight beaders worked around the clock to affix the 800,000 Swarovski crystals, beads and sequins by hand to the ceremony gown. Worn with a crystal head dress and a veil from Packham’s bridal collection, the look was complete. The bridal party continued the glamorous theme, with Pressly’s 10 bridesmaids all in sparkling platinum one-shoulder dresses, also designed by Packham, featuring a crystal motif at the hip. To end the night in style (and to save any disasters on the dance floor) the bride changed into a 1940s-inspired beaded bell-sleeve cocktail dress to party the night away.
