Go Behind the Scenes (And In Bed!) with Jason Lewis on His Charisma Photo Shoot

Jason Lewis garnered quite a following for his charm and sex appeal as boy toy Smith Jerrod on Sex and the City. So what could be better than finding the hunky actor in bed with Charisma’s latest line of linens in a set of sexy ads? We’ll leave that as a rhetorical question, but Jason does tell us why he has joined forces with Charisma, explaining that “Your bed should be an inviting place to get into, and Charisma can add luxury to your lifestyle and bedroom.” Watch as the shirtless actor lounges in a pristine white bed covered in Charisma linens and talks about his bedroom philosophy in this behind-the-scenes video from his photo shoot, shot by famed photographer Nino Munoz in Los Angeles. Jason’s ads will hit shelter and lifestyle magazines come December, and Charisma products can already be found in Bloomingale’s stores nationwide. Tell us: What do you think of Jason’s Charisma ads?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Get Shady for Their New Design Venture — Sunglasses!

Ace Pictures

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have made oversize shades a signature part of their style, so it’s no wonder that the superstar designers have chosen to add vintage-inspired shades to their luxury label The Row. And though The Row’s sunglass collection won’t be hitting stores until spring, Mary-Kate is already showing it off. The designer secretly debuted an oversized square frame — one of four styles that make up the collection — at the Burberry runway show during London Fashion Week. The other three styles include a classic metal aviator, vintage-inspired brow-line and a pair of round shades taken from the ’60s, according to WWD. “We’re testing the market first and obviously these are four very different silhouettes, so we’re seeing what people are responding to and we’ll open up a couple more silhouettes for fall,” Ashley tells WWD of the collaboration with Linda Farrow Eyewear, who is already responsible for Bernard Wilhelm, Dries Van Noten and Jeremy Scott’s edgy eyewear. Mary-Kate and Ashley have already made a mark in the accessories market with jewelry and shoes for their contemporary label, Elizabeth and James, but adding sunglasses proved to be a new challenge for the designers. “Designing eyewear was definitely more complicated than we thought, and of course, we wanted to be extremely hands-on,” Mary-Kate tells WWD. Sunglasses for The Row are expected to hit high-end department stores for spring with prices ranging from $325- $390. So far, we love what we see! Tell us: Will you buy sunglasses from The Row?

Blake Lively and Giuseppe Zanotti Talk Fall Shoes at Saks Fifth Avenue

Saks Fifth Avenue

When shoe-designer-to-the-stars Giuseppe Zanotti turned up at Manhattan’s Saks Fifth Avenue on Friday afternoon, he wasn’t the only famous face to surprise shoppers. Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively took a break from shooting her hit series to meet the man and chat fall shoes. Blake, who sports Zanotti both on-set and on the red carpet, instantly impressed the designer. “Blake Lively is a true Giuseppe Zanotti woman,” the designer tells PEOPLE. “The Giuseppe Zanotti woman loves fashion and enjoys being up-to-date. She is self-confident and has a strong personality.” He continues, “She told me that she creates her own style; I think that makes her authentic and special.” One key to Blake’s much-coveted style? Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, of course! The actress spent most of the afternoon trying on pair after pair — and even left with a pair of boots signed by the designer himself. But even if you weren’t lucky enough to get a personal shopping experience with Giuseppe Zanotti, the designer did share his top fall shoe tips that he says will refresh any look: thigh-high boots and open-toe booties. Zac Posen Gets Cooking — Off the Runway!

Philip Gross for the James Beard Foundation

Zac Posen is showing off his latest work, a vision of delicate purples and greens, but the star-favorite designer isn’t at a runway show. He’s behind the stove in New York’s James Beard House, helping prepare dinner for 100. And this new creation? A platter of purple Peruvian potatoes topped with caviar and garnished with chives and purple borage flowers. “Borage is decoration, but it has a flavor,” says Posen. “I go by taste, not color.” An enthusiastic foodie since he was a teen, Posen says he used to cook for small groups of fashion editors. “I thought it was important to feed them and bring them together as a community.” But this weekend Posen, 28, was in the culinary big league, sharing KP duties with Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis and award-winning Aquavit chef Marcus Samuelsson, a long-time friend of Posen’s who says, “Zac is great in the kitchen.” The three, along with a team of sous-chefs, are at this culinary landmark to turn out a four-course dinner featuring Zac’s fennel and crayfish bisque, Marcus’s slow-cooked chicken with foie gras and pumpkin puree, Giada’s eggplant timbale, and a dessert of poached pears and ginger ice cream — a Giada-Zac collaboration. “I’d met him before, but I didn’t know he loved to cook,” says De Laurentiis. “I’m impressed he’s executed it all! It’s different doing a dinner party than dinner for 100 people.” The designer, who shrugs off the title “chef” in favor of “food lover” says the bustle of the kitchen isn’t so different from that of a fashion house: “It’s the super-speed atelier.” Proceeds from the dinner, part of the New York City Wine and Food Festival, go to benefit two anti-hunger charities: Share Our Strength and the Food Bank for New York City. –Allison Adato
