Starring in television’s most fashionable show –and dating stylish co-star Blake Lively — has taught Penn Badgley a thing or two about fashion. And now, the Gossip Girl heartthrob is sharing his thoughts on fall’s hottest looks with Cosmopolitan.com. “What a woman wears says a whole lot about her confidence,” Penn tells Cosmo in a sultry fashion spread. Penn includes sweater dresses and V-necks amongst his favorite items to see on any woman. “A sweaterdress really can be the sexiest thing. As a man, I just like the simpler things,” says Penn. “A plunging V-neck looks like she pulled it off the floor of a man’s bedroom. There’s something so sensual about it.” Penn is even a fan of fall’s hottest shoes, the over-the-knee boot. “If a strong, secure girl wears thigh-high boots, it can be stunning and powerful.” Hear more from Penn on fall fashion at Cosmopolitan.com.

i choose to believe that penn didn’t really write these quotes.

i don’t know any guy who wears plunging v-necks, and if they didn’t i wouldn’t take it from them and wear it.

Those pics are hot

MIA, Clearly you didn’t read the article… this is his take on WOMENS FASHION! He isn’ the one wearing plunging necklines… This is what he finds sexy in a woman… I really wish people would READ the whole article before giving their 2 cents.

mia is talking about the fact that he said “it looks like she pulled it off of the floor of a man’s bedroom” thats why she said she doesn’t know any man who wears plunging v-necks…

QUOTED FROM THE ARTICLE: “Penn includes sweater dresses and V-necks amongst HIS favorite items to SEE on any WOMAN.”

Hope that clarifies a few misunderstandings. :)

apparently enigma and monique are unfamiliar with the use of inference. if a woman pulls a plunging V-neck sweater off the floor of a man’s bedroom, it is assumed that the V-neck belongs to the man, hence mia’s claim that she doesn’t know any men that wear plunging V-necks.

It’s funny how he told them that, because Blake usually wears stuff like that.

Mia and Emma, by Penn saying “plunging v necks looks like she pulled it off the floor of man’s bedroom,” does not mean that it belongs to the man. Penn is a guy…really truly think about it. What do you think he is actually talking about? The v neck definitely doesn’t belong the man. Why would it be on the floor?

Thank you fancypants for the explanation – I knew there had to be a good one. :)

Cheers!

You guys are killing me. The look is sexy because it is simple, as if she woke up, got out of the dude’s bed, and put her sweater back on, tousled her hair, and walked out the door.

It’s on the dude’s floor because HE took it off HER.

*face palm*

@fancypants and @emma wilson

thanks for defending me, because that’s exactly what i meant. although i meant to write “did” not “didn’t.”

i think it’s ironic that people criticized me for not reading it when clearly they didn’t understand the blog post itself or at least offer an alternative explanation for it like @mel.

yes, i got that it was HIS take on women’s fashion and like both fancypants and emma wilson said, if a woman takes the plunging v-neck off of a man’s floor, then he’s inferring that it’s the man’s shirt. similar to how a girl will wear a guy’s button-down shirt in place of pajamas. i even checked the site to see if the picture accompanying it was a barely buttoned button down shirt to go along with the plunging v-neck line, but it was a dress that kind of looked like a long poncho.

i’m not hating on penn, i think his little gap is cute! i just think it was a weird way to phrase things, and maybe it wasn’t quoted properly.

You guys are all idiots. Usually mens shirts tend to be bigger on females therefore creating the plunging neckline – not because it was a plunging neckline on them to begin with. Sheesh.

Happy, happy female model…

He DID mean that it looks like they took a guys sweater off of the floor and put it on. Jeez. It would be plunging because a guys sweater would be big on a woman. You guys are taking this way too seriously anyway.

he looks good, I would not say he is gorgeous but I think that he have his own beauty about him

I enjoyed The Stepfather- this was just as a great as the first. Dylan Walsh did a great job filling the shoes of Terry O’Quinn http://bit.ly/dicg8I
