Lindsay Lohan On Her Ungaro Debut: “I Am Learning”

The Paris fashion world never expected to see pasties on the runway. Nor, apparently, did the creative consultant behind the disastrous line, Lindsay Lohan. The actress, 23, who was skewered by the fashion press for the first Ungaro collection she served as artistic advisor on, blamed the fiasco on “coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection.” As for the much-maligned sequined pasties flashed by the models when they opened their jackets and blouses, Lohan said told PEOPLE on Wednesday at a Victoria’s Secret Velvet launch party in New York that she was as shocked as the audience. “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out,” she says, adding that “I am going back to Paris for the next collection….I am learning.” Still, the clock for her next collection is already ticking. “It’s already in January,” she says. “I thought it was in March.” –Isley Kasica

O Gosh…here we go again…another lame excuse from Lindsey Lohan. Why can’t she own up to her own mistakes/shortcommings and admit she was in over her head. I respect a person more when they speak the truth instead of lying and trying to blame others!

Ungaro blew it on this one. By choosing Lohan, you cheapened your brand.

I agree…Its always someone else’s fault, and the constant excuses….Good Lord girl! Take some ownership and maybe people will respect you for it

I agree, Ungaro has cheapened their line and their name by partnering up with Lindsay. If they were looking to appeal to a younger demographic, they should have picked a MUCH better role model. Who wants to be like Lindsay Lohan? The poor girl is a wreck

Oh it is so like her to blame someone else or something else on her short comings, I mean just because she buys fashion does not make her a consultant of fashion. I think a lot of comes with her up bringing she has never had “own” any thing. He family, her mother especially always makes excuses for her, so why would she ever say for once, “Look I have no idea what I am doing??”. its just sad that there are little girls out there and this is the role model society has to offer.

Actually Lindsay wasn’t responsible for the nipple tassels. That was said immediately after. Lindsay is accepting the criticism for her part in the show, just not this part of it!

I agree with the other posters … this is getting old – quit blaming others for your failings! Lindsay needs to take responsibility for once! And, yes, way to go Ungaro – in hiring Lindsay, you cheapened your brand.
