When shoe-designer-to-the-stars Giuseppe Zanotti turned up at Manhattan’s Saks Fifth Avenue on Friday afternoon, he wasn’t the only famous face to surprise shoppers. Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively took a break from shooting her hit series to meet the man and chat fall shoes. Blake, who sports Zanotti both on-set and on the red carpet, instantly impressed the designer. “Blake Lively is a true Giuseppe Zanotti woman,” the designer tells PEOPLE. “The Giuseppe Zanotti woman loves fashion and enjoys being up-to-date. She is self-confident and has a strong personality.” He continues, “She told me that she creates her own style; I think that makes her authentic and special.” One key to Blake’s much-coveted style?
