When Susan Boyle makes her debut performance in the U.S. on Wednesday for the finale of America’s Got Talent, it won’t be just her singing that impresses the audience. The Scottish singing sensation will be wearing a stunning, bespoke dress created by British designer Suzanne Neville that is set to “really wow” the crowd. The designer tells PEOPLE exclusively: “The brief was to make Susan look super elegant and so we created a long, classic black gown for Susan to wear.” Three weeks and two dress fittings later, Boyle was thrilled with her one-of-a-kind gown, which has now left the designers store in upmarket Knightsbridge and is on its way to the U.S. with the singer’s stylist. Neville’s rep tells PEOPLE: “Suzanne said she was a delight to work with and seemed very excited about both the dress and the performance.” Neville who is known for her bridal and evening wear, has also designed outfits for previous X Factor contestants, another of Simon Cowell’s talent shows in the U.K, as well as celebrities such as Jerry Hall. –Monique Jessen

Remembering Susan’s choices for the Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot, I am positive she will look absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to see her new gown and hear her sing her glorious new song live. She is a wonderful Lady with a tremendous voice and her star is blazing brightly.

Susan is magnificent!

I can’t wait to see her. I can only imagine what she has gone thru with being a normal person, to be cast in the limelight. I hope she tours, I would pay to see her.

I’m anxious to hear Susan on the show and hope she’ll sing Wild Horses, it’s so amazing.
She’ll look fabulous on AGT, and when it’s over, the make-up will get scrubbed off and she’ll be back to her old self.
Fame and fortune will never change her. All she wants to do is sing.

I don’t know why I love reading about Susan Boyle, but I absolutely do. Her voice and story are both so amazing! I particularly enjoyed reading about her new, presumably fabulous dress, especially as she’s been called frumpy and frowsy one too many times!

Oh I’m just in love with her!! Isn’t that every little girl’s/woman’s secret dream? To have the nerve to walk out in front of a huge, doubting crowd, blow them away with a voice no one knew you had and walk away to a standing ovation? I am so hoping she’ll tour the US!!
