I like Whitney and I guess it’s obvious why she wants to distance herself from Montag and Conrad whose fashion lines have failed. But I fear hers will follow the same path. I found her pieces uninspiring, and lacking any kind of cohesiveness to the overall “look”. After watching project runway and seeing how hard it is for designers, who must truely be both artists and craftspeople, to make it–I think it’s kind of a joke that celebrities are able to get top billing for their shows just because they are famous and have their own great sense of style. But in the end, the consumers will decide!
