Drew’s New Two-Tone Do: Love It Or Hate It?

09/10/2009 at 01:50 PM ET

Ryan Miner/Splash News Online

Drew Barrymore certainly isn’t tame when it comes to her beauty looks. In the last year alone, she’s rocked everything from an exaggerated Marilyn Monroe-inspired bob at the Golden Globes, to streaks of blue paint for an indie music event. So when she switched to a conservative blonde bob recently, we knew it couldn’t last long. And Drew lived up to her daring ways last night, turning out in Boston to promote her film Whip It having dipped the ends of her long bob in black dye. Her two-tone do works with her punky plaid shirt and heavy liner, but will we see her sporting it to next week’s Emmy Awards? What do you think of Drew’s latest beauty change-up?

Angsty teenager much?

This isn’t 80′s. 80′s was being all one color, bleach blond or dark or natural. It should be on the top as if it was a bleach blond who grew out their roots. The dark doesn’t go with what looks like to be strawberry blond on top in this picture. Gee, I hope it washes out. I hope she didn’t pay too much more than the price of a boxed dye to get this done, noone is going to be a signature trendy stylist as a result in my opinion (shut the place down, we don’t want to see any more of this) As far as Drew goes, I am getting to appreciate her more as she gets older and is growing out of the baby face looks, I think the shorter hair does her face more justice than the long hair she had in the past, it just brought her face down. Oh, well, had to get my two cents in.

Who told her that was a good idea?

This girl is a fruit loop and a half. She craves the attention and the kooky looks get it for her, plain and simple.

I have always been a fan of Drew, she is a free thinker and always does her own thing….. unfortunately this isn’t working for her.
She is a woman trying to look like a teenager…. kind of sad.

One step forward and 10 steps back…

LBW: I couldn’t agree more. It used to be that girls had long beautiful hair naturally. Now they are over dying, over straightening, extensions, etc, etc that naturally beautiful hair is a thing of the past.

Love Drew, the hairdo is OK for a funky, fun change……….I hope she doesn’t keep it that way!
