Nicole Richie is known as known for her boho-chic style as she is for Hollywood pedigree — and with fans like Madonna wearing her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry collection, her design career couldn’t be hotter. Pregnant with her second child (daughter Harlow Winter is 19 months old), the star has signed on to create (and model) a line of maternity clothes with her signature flair for A Pea in the Pod. Richie talked to PEOPLE exclusively about the new line, explaining that the collaboration works because “Pea in the Pod is such a known company for pregnant women. They carry great lines, and so when they asked me to create a line for them, I was really excited and eager to do it.” And being pregnant herself means that Nicole is especially considerate of her customers. “You really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe. And that’s the last thing a woman wants to go through. So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes.” And while Nicole admits she doesn’t always wear maternity clothes, she definitely thinks the pregnant form should be flaunted! “I think the pregnant body is beautiful, and I think you should show it off,” citing her jean cutoffs as a go-to this pregnancy. As for what to expect in the line, think peasant tops, layering tees, flowing maxidress and braided details. Nicole may have a few months left until she has her second child, but she says of her newest design collection making its debut, “It feels great to see everything come to life. It’s the best feeling in the world to have your visions and dreams coming together. I’m so excited for people to see them. I just hope that people like it.” We give it our thumbs up! “Nicole”, an exclusive collection for A Pea in the Pod stores on Friday, with prices ranging from $48 for tank tops to $148 to maxidresses.

Give your children the greatest gift…make them legitamite. Does alot for their self-esteem and feelings of worth.

BEFORE YOU PREACH, YOU MIGHT WANT TO SPELL YOUR WORDS RIGHT ie LEGITIMATE

AND HARLOW WILL LIVE THE BEST LIFE WITH OR WITHOUT HER PARENTS BEING MARRIED.

NOW GO SPEND YOUR EXTRA TIME WORKING ON SPELLINGS.

MAYBE YOU’D GET THE FEELINGS OF WORTH.

AND WILL HELP YOUR SELF-ESTEEM TOO.

i agree with kathy and rose and it’s a shame that all these celebrities are having kids out of wedlock and they are being glorified regular people look to them as examples and role models and they copy them.someone said more important to bring them up with morals than be married you have to have morals to bring a child up with them and getting married is showing you have morals,it is not just a piece of paper,it’s been reduced to that by small-minded people.those that disagree with kathy and are judging her make me sick.

GROW UP! WHAT CENTURY ARE YOU FROM?
EVEN MARRIED COUPLE CANNOT SECURE THEY WILL PASS GOOD MORALS TO THEIR KIDS. “NICOLE RICHIE” DID NOT ASK HER FOLLOWERS TO MAKE HER A ROLE MODEL.
FOR PEOPLE OF HOLLYWOOD IS JUST AS MUCH ALIKE AS THOSE WHO ARE NOT!
AND HOW ABOUT THOSE SINGLE PARENTS, THOSE MOTHERS WHO HAVE TO BRING UP THEIR CHILD ON THEIR OWN, DOES NOT HAVING A FATHER MAKES A CHILD OF LESS MORAL? THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING!

Is this bimbo ever going to get married, or are they just going to keep having kids? Why are these people glorified? What a good role model they have on kids now.

SERIOUSLY? WHERE’S YOUR BRAIN WHEN YOU COMMENTED ON THIS POST? AND BIMBO? NAME CALLING MAKES YOU WHAT NOT THE “BIMBO’? CAUSE YOU JUST SUCCESSFULLY MADE YOURSELF LOOK AND SOUND LIKE ONE!

Kathy,

Your opinion is off topic. Your marital status should have nothing to do with the level of your children self worth or self esteem. That is your personal opinion and a paper could mean the world to you and nothing to a lot of other people.

1 a (1) Marriage: the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law

Key words here are consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law.

Meaning that if they already have a consensus relationship, the fact that it is not recognized by law means nothing to them. (In there eyes they are already married) For people, with a lot of money like them, this would just mean that they would pay way more taxes at the end of the year because they decided to legalize it.

As long as they are happy and they know that they will be together, what difference does it make if it was recognized by law or not???

All of you that decide to think lowly of those that are not married have self esteem issues themselves. You also have a lot of insecurity issues. Glad to know that your self worth, self esteem, and that of your children is highly dependent on a paper that creates a legal contract between you and your husband.

What do you think happened in the olden days? Marriage is a man made tool used to get two individuals who love each other into a legal contract. So now all of a sudden you need a “legal contract” to know that your husband will not run off with some other bimbo, or is this more of a way to make sure that if he/she does run off, you will be able to take half of the assets.

The reason your children have no self esteem and self worth, is because they have moms whos self esteem and self worth is on a piece of paper and without it you feel your nothing. Maybe you need help!
