Nicole Richie is known as known for her boho-chic style as she is for Hollywood pedigree — and with fans like Madonna wearing her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry collection, her design career couldn’t be hotter. Pregnant with her second child (daughter Harlow Winter is 19 months old), the star has signed on to create (and model) a line of maternity clothes with her signature flair for A Pea in the Pod. Richie talked to PEOPLE exclusively about the new line, explaining that the collaboration works because “Pea in the Pod is such a known company for pregnant women. They carry great lines, and so when they asked me to create a line for them, I was really excited and eager to do it.” And being pregnant herself means that Nicole is especially considerate of her customers. “You really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe. And that’s the last thing a woman wants to go through. So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes.” And while Nicole admits she doesn’t always wear maternity clothes, she definitely thinks the pregnant form should be flaunted! “I think the pregnant body is beautiful, and I think you should show it off,” citing her jean cutoffs as a go-to this pregnancy. As for what to expect in the line, think peasant tops, layering tees, flowing maxidress and braided details. Nicole may have a few months left until she has her second child, but she says of her newest design collection making its debut, “It feels great to see everything come to life. It’s the best feeling in the world to have your visions and dreams coming together. I’m so excited for people to see them. I just hope that people like it.” We give it our thumbs up! “Nicole”, an exclusive collection for A Pea in the Pod stores on Friday, with prices ranging from $48 for tank tops to $148 to maxidresses.

The only time that a child feels inferior because their parents are not married is when you sit there a single it out. I mean what happens with those mothers who were not blessed with a man that wants to get married. Should their children be subject to your opinions because in order to feel like children that deserved to be on earth their parents had to be married. No child should have to feel inferior just because “society” feels that marriage is the only way to bring a child into this world. The fact that your opinion is this does not reflect the opinions of the rest of the world but I can definitely see why if this happened to you, your child would feel inferior. You emphasize on it so much, that I am sure that you would remind your child every day, directly or indirectly, that he/she does not deserve to be born. That simply reflects your insecurities as a person because you need this contractual agreement to feel like a whole woman and to therefore treat your kids as they deserve to be born. You have to remember that society is different and children do not view things that way that you did as a kid. Whether or not you accept it, kids could care less if there parents were married or not. The only time they may care is when their parents make a big deal about it and bring it to light, which them opens the childs mind up to share the same insecurities that you do. In my parents age, marriage was a must, if you brought kids on to this world. There are so many unmarried parents now, that when this generation of kids gets older, there will be a 50/50 chance that your parents will not be married. We cannot make that 50% of children with unmarried parents feel inferior because it was their parents choice not to get married.

The dresses are too long, any pregnant woman would trip and fall from them. When you are pregnant who wants to take the time to get them altered. Kudos for her turnaround in life though.
