At 51-years old, Fran Drescher’s face is practically wrinkle free. Her secret? Her new skincare line FranBrand, of course! Fran has partnered with HSN to create a nine-piece skincare collection that utilizes carcinogen-free natural technology and ingredients designed to yield younger and healthier skin. FranBrand is not only consists of all-natural products, but is packaged in glass containers and other eco-friendly recyclable materials. “We’re so 21st century doll-good for the body, good for the planet and good for the soul,” says Fran. And what’s better, a portion of the proceeds from FranBrand products will benefit Cancer Schmancer, Fran’s cancer organization that is dedicated towards diagnosis of all women’s cancer in Stage 1. Fran, who beat uterine cancer in 2000, has dedicated her life to teaching women how to live preventatively. “The FranBrand is a natural extension of my mission and my story. I’m not glad I had cancer, but now my life has a purpose.” The FranBrand consists of cleanser, toner, serum, body and facial creams, eye treatments for both day and night and lip balm. In 2010 the brand will expand to hair care, make-up, sun care and bath and body. Fran will appear on HSN– makeup free– on November 10 to sell her skincare line. Items will from $16 lip balm to $32 facial cream and be available on Tell us: Will you buy FranBrand?

Absolutely! If the product is a good quality AND it is natural, I would definitely buy it. I don’t think people realize how many chemicals we spread all over our bodies every single day in the name of being “beautiful” and then we wonder why almost everyone seems to have cancer these days. I hope Fran’s product lives up to my expectations and I thank her for putting a natural alternative out there.

Yes I will try Fran’s products…we need more natural and chemical free products for our bodies. Its time to stop buying junk to save a few dollars that get spent for doctors.

Mrs J.P. on

I’d try Fran’s products, why not. She is such an inspiration.

Now only if she would do another tv show ;) love the nanny!

I’m looking forward to trying Fran’s products. I have been a fan of HSN for the past 9 years and have tried many of the skincare products sold. I really like a couple of them, and have no doubt that I will like FranBrand too.

Pamela on

I’d love to try her products…but it seems a bit expensive. 16$ for a lip balm? If the rest is affordable, I’m going to buy this for sure!

Susan on

I would be interested in trying her line. I hope she has a “trial” sized offer, larger than blister paks which is never enough to give you a true test of the product. Nothing annoys me more than to try something for 2 or 3 days and then purchase the product and end up hating it!

Glad she’s offering a skincare line that is all-natural. I haven’t read the ingreidents labels so I hope it IS all-natural.

I will stick with my skincare line that I already have though…costs less then Fran’s stuff and I already know it’s 100% natural.

I am interested in the products; however, there is no information on whether or not the products or ingredients are tested on animals, or whether they contract third parties to test on animals.

For me, that would be a deal breaker and you would be surprised at the number of ‘natural’ products that are tested needlessly on animals (e.g., Aveeno).

Style, please try to put more effort into reporting on their animal testing policies and when you review products or suggest products, cover more companies that do not test the finished products, ingredients, or contract third parties to do so, on animals.

I find this is an area that is extremely lacking in the general fashion world.

Stop pumping up L’oreal and Proctor & Gamble products. These are some of the most ruthless animal testing companies out there and there are cruelty free alternatives to every cosmetic/household product test out there (note, I am not discussing medical testing in any way, shape or form).

Her forehead looks like botox to me. I wish her well in her new endeavor, but her products are expensive.

Love Fran, always have. While there are plenty of products out there that cost more, I agree with everyone who says her line is a BIT too expensive. Hopefully her products are useful for women in ALL age ranges

after all these years, fran still looks beautiful! i would definitely love to try her products!

This sounds great! I really would buy it if it is affordable and chemical free. This is such great news that more and more people are realizing the cumulative effect of all of these chemicals that we use daily. I look forward to her products and hope her bath line comes out quickly too! Our family has been switching out our old chemical based cleaners and products for safer ones and one of our favorites so far is the Topricin pain cream. It just goes to to show now in the news how even something like acetaminophen can harm us. We are our own advocates and all of our voices and where we spend is what will eventually change things!

Hmmmm, maybe. I love the paraben-free idea, but oragnic ingredients sometimes means herbal ingredients that I’m allergic to. It depends on what’s in it.

There is no way on God’s beautiful green Earth that I would ever spend $16 on lip balm. Why is it that all of these “natural” products cost so much more? This is the main reason why most of America does not purchase anything natural, organic, eco-friendly. It’s too expensive. I wish her all of the best.

I recently just started using her skin care line it works great! I also use it with a once a day pill by the name of heliocare. I read about it on “kiwi drug” and its a one a day pill that helps with skin cologne and helps with getting rid of wrinkles! ok so both together love it! works great

As a cancer patient I am hoping that her products will bring moisture back to my skin. The effects of Chemo, as Fran knows , leave skin feeling tight as well.

I will most definitely try Fran’s new skincare line. She is an inspiration to all women, not to mention she is gorgeous. Love you Fran!

Fran I am so excited to see your new skin care line. I am a Hairstylist/Massage Therapist and Hypnotist in Woodstock NY. I prefer using organic and natural products in side and out side of my body. Can’t wait to see the ingredients in your products. I always loved your show and feel a connection with you. I also speak with a nasally sound and I am very talkative. In the 80’s I had big hair and wore lots of make up like your Nanny character. Love all you stand for and your brave fight against cancer. Love and much success on your skin care line.

Doreen on

More than likely “not” since the majority of celebritys have botox, restalane, cosmetic surgery then attempt to sell products that will keep your face looking firm, uplifted, wrinkle free, but forget to tell us why they look so perfect and it’s not bc of their products. False advertising is so insulting.
But I do love Fran, and wish she would come back to TV!!!

Miz P on

yes I intend to buy Frans new skin care line I cant wait and I hope that it will be available in some stores

I recently read on the HSN Board that some of the customers were disappointed that the Fran Bran products contain Phenoxyethanol, which is a synthetic preservative. The company has since posted a note on HSN saying that Fran Bran is planning on removing this preservative and replacing it. Being an owner of a natural skin care line, I can tell you that it is very challenging coming up with a totally natural preservative (s). They really don’t exist unless you resort to essential oils. However, the research indicates that preservatives are not effective as a standalone preservative, unless they were used at unsafe levels. here are some naturally derived perservatives, but virtually all have to undergo a chemical synthesis (which does not necesarrily mean they are unsafe) to make it a viable compound which can ward off bacteria and fungus. I think the most important issue is whether or not an ingredient or product is safe and non-toxic. Just because a product is 100% all natural, does not mean it is safe, particularly if it is not properly preserved.

Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!
