As one of Hollywood’s most beautiful — and most fashionable — young stars, Vanessa Hudgens is the last person we can think of in need of a style transformation — but that’s precisely what she gets as the cover star of InStyle‘s special Makeover issue. In addition to stepping in front of the lens to try out new beauty looks that range from casually undone to all done up — the High School Musical 3 star does a little style time-traveling, sharing twelve photos that reveal her own beauty transformation from freshly-scrubbed teen to sophisticated Hollywood starlet. Despite still being just 20 years old, she tells the magazine that beauty change-ups are nothing new to her. “I went through my red lipstick stage at 10,” she says. “My mom really let me play, which in the long run has given me the confidence to experiment. Now I wear everything — reds, corals, nudes.” But as any beauty maven knows, getting experimental doesn’t come without a few beauty disasters, particularly when it comes to hair. “I had short hair only once in my life,” she reveals. “When I was 7, I cut it myself, which I think every girl does — once. I gave myself a bob and bangs. It was really sad. I looked like I had worms on my head.” Learn what else Vanessa has to say about her own style icons, style horror stories and celebrity fascinations in the new issue, on stands now. Or learn how to recreate one of the Vanessa’s dazzling photo-shoot looks at InStyle.com.

She’s not the most beautiful girl I have ever seen but to be fair she’s so fresh young and cute. And I think those are more important than beauty because a beatiful person O.K it’s fine but we directly get bored of her (or him) but someone who’s young who has an amazing style in clothes who is very cute and always fresh we never get bored of her. She’s so confident and I think she knows what fits her.

Vanessa is a very pretty. I love her taste in style too, she’s not afraid to mix it up.

Also what’s wrong with looking normal? Normal can be cute too! duh 0_o

I am Vanessa’s No.1 fan. We share the same b-day. Her style is fresh and awsome. I love all of her music, styles, movies and more.

She’s beautiful. The only reason someone would deny that is because they are either jealous, or in denial. You can hate her all you want, but you can’t deny this girl has it all, the style, the looks, the up-beat personality and the confidence to match. She’s her own person, and she doesn’t go out of her way to please the nay-sayers, which is not something you see everyday in Hollywood. That’s why I think she’ll last in this buisness, because she knows what she wants and she doesn’t let what others say stop her from getting it. I admire that quality.

I was at the magazine stand at the supermarket I thouhg this was a teenage magazine just by looking at the cover I did not even realized it was in style makeover magazine, you should put a more mature person in your cover at list for credibility.
