VIDEO: Kat Von D Goes Tattoo-Free

L.A. Ink star Kat Von D may have reached reality-star fame as one of the country’s premier tattoo artists, but in a just-released video she’s nearly unrecognizable, hiding her head-to-toe ink and revealing what she’d look like tattoo-free. Using her newly-launched waterproof and smudge-free Kat Von D for Sephora Tattoo Concealer to create the look, the star explains why she wanted to develop a product that was so contrary to what she’s based her career on. “I just figured a lot of people on their wedding day might want to cover up a little tattoo or something,” she says, “and the last thing you want to do is get pigment on your white wedding dress.” Tell us: Do you prefer Kat more with or without her signature tattoos?

The best recommendation for a concealer product would have to come from a tattoo artist with as much ink as Kat. Kudos to her for coming up with a waterproof formula that really works.

She looks great both ways but she doesnt need to hide her tattoos because that makes her unique and who she is. I love her work and her tattoos.

Congrat’s to Kat! I think it’s great the she can walk both sides of the line (with and w/o tattoos) and share that “skill” with others. There are just some situations that would certainly be easier w/o all of the ink showing and her product seems like it will provide that desired effect.

I salute Kat for her business savvy and her intelligence. She is able to see both sides of the issue and make a bit of money as well. Personally, i don’t like tatoos but i know i am in a minority where i live. It is nice to have a product that really hide, really lasts and doesn’t stain. I have a friend who has spend a fortune looking for something. Kat should know if it works
