Whitney Port Needs Your Style Advice!

From Teen Vogue intern to People’s Revolution PR maven to Diane von Furstenberg’s offices, Whitney Port has been making her way up the food chain in the fashion world. The City star and Whitney Eve designer faces the same fashion quandries as the rest of us. Whitney took to her twitter today to ask her followers: “Are jean shorts and heels appropriate for work?” While we think there are shorts that work in an office environment, cutoffs seem to cross a line. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: Would you wear jean shorts and heels to work?

If the shorts are bermuda-length and are tailored with a cuff(as opposed to the usual jeans-style), then they are acceptable for certain casual work places as long they are paired with heels. Any other instance is NOT appropriate.

Also, cutoffs need to die.

Well put Mary. If she has to ask, then she needs a stylist. In the real world one would be fired for showing up at work dressed like that.

Short cut-off jeans and heels are ALWAYS a no-no! No matter where you work. It’s never appropriate to help customers or co-operate professionally in such an outfit…
