The City star turns model for Women’s Health‘s July/August issue in a colorful fashion spread showing off the boldest colors for the summer. Whitney Port modeled luxe looks from Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Philosphy di Alberta Ferretti and Vera Wang mixed with more affordable labels like Splendid, Club Monaco, and Forever 21. A style mix is something the former L.A. girl is familiar with, describing her style to Women’s Health as ” a mix of West Coast and East Coast styles, with a little vintage flair. I also use lots of colors.” Going from the Hills to The City isn’t easy, but Whitney definitely brings some of her L.A. cool to New York and her downtown chic back to West Coast. But how can you spice up your look like Whitney? The reality star says, “People get in a rut wearing the same thing day after day. It’s important to try something new — even if it’s just adding pop with a vivid top.” We love color for summer and will definitely be taking Whitney’s advice! Check out more at womenshealthmag.com.

Courtney on

Ha, that chick looks pretty in anything. Glad to see her doin well.

Why would Women’s Health put Whitney Port of all people on the cover? I thought this mag praised what truly healthy and beautiful women look like and did not adhere to stereotypical views…

Evan on

Whitney is a beautiful young woman who has a good head on her shoulders…

LadyK on

Women’s Health right? Why are we putting an anorexic looking stick figure in a Health magazine? She’s beautiful, but hardly healthy looking.

AJ on

Nice Job Womens Health! Whitney is a beautiful young woman.

Anorexic? Sounds like the fatties are jealous. Just because a health and fitness magazine uses a model who is half your size it doesn’t mean she is anorexic. Maybe she just eats better and works out more. And don’t bother saying you wouldn’t want her body, cause it’s pretty clear that you do.

Lucy, there is no need for name calling! it was her opinion of the pictues. whitney looks gorgeous! leave it at that. why do people have to add comments that are negative. if you dont like it…move on

Rebecca on

actually, i like whitney because she’s one of those few celebrities who actually still look like they’re in a healthy weight range. everyone else is definitely underweight.

i know some people like seeing larger women on magazine covers, but honestly some of those women are obese and it’s really dangerous and unhealthy to live like that. i wouldn’t want to see obese women on there just like i wouldn’t want to see annorexic women on there either. because it only propogates a negative lifestyle. i support healthy celebs. =D

You know, as a plus size woman myself, I take exception to Lucy’s comment. The comments to which Lucy refers are not always from “fatties.” I am one of the first to cry foul when someone lobs the anorexic allegation at another person without solid proof (not to be confused with speculation) that same is true. It is just a fact that some women are naturally thin, just as some women are naturally predisposed to being heavy. (Though I will admit that, knowing people on both sides of this coin, it often appears easier for women to lose weight than it is for naturally thin women to gain weight. I know that is weird, but it appears to be true.) Anyway, the point is that we, as a society, need to be more careful about judging people – men and women – by their appearance and making allegations for which we have no firm foundation. By the same token, I long for the day when words like “fatty” are not the label of choice when one person is frustrated by another. It is just as likely that the person to whom Lucy referred was about a size one. Ironic, no? We just never know.

the article never said she was the magazine’s cover model only that she was shot for a fashion spread, which makes sense since Whitney does have a model’s body.

lady k, what the heck is your problem? she isn’t anorexic and i dont’ care if it’s your opinion. it’s a stereo type…”she’s skinny so obviously she’s anorexic”. i’m 6′ tall and 145 lbs. for being 6′ tall that’s considered healthy. whitney is tall too. tall girls happen to be slender. stop being judgmental and jealous. you sound like every girl i went to high school w/. just because you are unhappy w/ your appearance, don’t judge others on theirs.

Anita on

Here, here Jenny, beautifully stated (from a perfectly average size 6.)
