Elisabeth Hasselbeck Launches NFL Maternity Line With Reebok

Football fan Elisabeth Hasselbeck isn’t letting pregnancy get in the way of her love of the game. Reebok has announced today that they’ve drafted The View host to be the face of a new line of NFL football jerseys — designed specifically for pregnant women. “The NFL has a tremendous amount of female fans,” Elisabeth tells WWD. “Watching a game can be a real family bonding experience, and I can tell you that the women behind the games are truly the most intense of the fans.” The $15 to $17.50 shirts will launch during the fall 2010 football and feature sayings like “#1 Draft pick” and “Kicker” across the belly. As for why Reebok decided to launch the line, Reebok’s NFL women’s product manager explains to WWD, “we realized how women were buying the product, but then we were ignoring them for nine months while they were pregnant,” of the sports fans who often had to purchase men’s shirt to accommodate their growing bumps. Tell us: What do you think of Reebok’s new NFL line for pregnant women — and Elisabeth as their spokesmom?

I think the idea for sports jerseys for pregnant women is a great idea… Elizabeth on the other hand not a great idea. She is so controversial I thibk that someone else could be better suited.

The shirts WHOLESALE for $15-17.50 according the WWD article. They will actually be more expensive in a store.

What a terrific idea! Elizabeth is such a little dynamo, as well as being adorable. She can accomplish anything she tries. Love you Elizabeth and love The View.

Great idea . . . but can’t stand her! I’ll start watchng The View again when she’s gone!

Love the idea, not the celebrity endorsement. Oh well, how many other famous women, co-hosting their own daytime talk show, are married to former NFL players? Reebok got their high profile celebrity with an NFL pedigree. Could be a great fit if people look past her politically polarizing pontifications.

It is about time some of the big name companies started recognizing pregnant women. My xl patriots shirt fit for the first 16 weeks of pregnancy that was it :(

Maybe Reebok should also look at Gisele. She is with child and is due after the season is over unlike Elisabeth who will pop in August.

GOOD IDEA!

It’s a cute idea. I do not buy products that are associated with Elisabeth Hasselbeck because she was so rude to Senator and Mrs. Obama during the 2008 campaign. I also find her to be rather uninformed of the issues.
No offense intended.
