Dior Beauty Honors Make-up Artists and Their Star Clients

Donato Sardella/WireImage

It was amour for Dior Wednesday afternoon, when beauty fiends and the people behind their much coveted make-up looks came together for the Dior Beauty Luncheon at the Shangri-la Hotel in Santa Monica.  Stylish celebs like Rebecca Romijn, Kate Walsh, Natasha Bedingfield, Angie Harmon and Kim Kardashian ignored the gloomy weather and arrived with their make-up artists in support of Dior Beauty and Operation Smile. For each duo that attended, the luxury beauty brand donated enough for one “smile” surgery, and the ladies who lunched got to indulge for a good cause.  And why Dior?  “Dior is like chocolate, it’s very exquisite it’s like the fine, dark chocolate,” Beddingfield told PEOPLE.  “It makes you feel glamorous and has that bit of sophistication that I like.”  As for her favorite Dior Beauty product, Beddingfield, like most Dior Beauty fans, was obsessed with DiorShow mascara.  “Because I come from London, we’re really big on thick eyelashes, so I just build and build — I love it.”  Harmon, Walsh, and Romijn shared Beddingfield’s sentiment while Kardashian and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon praised the French brand’s Ultra Gloss Reflect Dior Addict lip gloss.  Regardless of their favorite, each guest got to walk away with a goodie bag of Dior staples, including their cult favorites, and a pair of stylish, summer-ready shades.  With all that, it’s hard not to say “J’adore Dior!”  –- Shruti Dhalwala

Nicole Richie and Pete Wentz Show Off Their Designs on the Runway

Dan Steinberg/AP

What happens when two of Hollywood’s hippest designers team up for a runway show? Last night’s House of Harlow, Clandestine Industries and Switch boutique runway show! Nicole Richie, who was modeling her own designs, added her House of Harlow 1960 pieces to feminine fashions from Switch boutique, telling PEOPLE that she picked based on “complimenting the outfit,” while Pete Wentz went for an individualized approach to his models. “[It's] just about streetwear so I let the guy pick. Whatever looked best on the individual.” Budding girl group Paradiso Girls opened the show with a quick performance and special guest spot by rapper Eve. With Wentz’s wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Richie’s partner Joel Madden watching on, the male models donned high top sneakers, T-shirts saying things like I (heart) BX, hoodies, and fedoras from Clandestine Industries. The ladies walked the runway in black mini skirts, back stretch pants with holes cut into them, heels with neon green soles and hot pink peep toe, jumpsuits with white lace lining and gold belts as accents to Nicole’s bold jewelry. Wentz thanked the audiences with “Thank you for checking out our lines,” just before rockers The Academy Is… closed the evening with a short performance. –reporting by Jessica Herndon
