Lindsay Lohan Channels Marilyn — Again!

Splash News Online

Lindsay Lohan’s latest photo shoot, a Marilyn Monroe-inspired pictorial for Spanish Vogue shot by photographer Alix Malka in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday, speaks to the actress’ current career ambitions. “The theme is glamor, cinematic, making a movie in Hollywood,” the shoot’s hair stylist Andy LeCompte, who tended to Lohan’s blonde wig, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “And Lindsay wants to focus on her career and get back to doing films, and this was a really cinematic shoot. It felt like we were making movie. The Hollywood sign was even in the background.” LeCompte, who’s been tending to Lohan’s tresses for several years, says the shoot “had a Marilyn Monroe-esque vibe,” adding, “there was definitely the conversation of Lindsay saying [she's] done it before, and that’s one reason we tried to do it a little bit different. I created a wig with darker roots, a little bit of Marilyn and Jayne Mansfield. Putting on a character is very inspiring for her. She loved it. She was putting on such a character. She’s always game to experiment with that.” At the shoot giving her moral support, was her BFF, stylist Patrick Aufdenkamp, as well as her sister Ali, 15. Lohan, 22, was a professional, says LeCompte: “She came on time, she was really simple to work with. Lindsay has a reputation for showing up late, but now that’s in the past. Now she comes on time.” And what about her thin frame and eating habits, which have come under increased scrutiny lately? Says LeCompte: “She looked great. She eats plenty. She doesn’t stop eating when she’s on a shoot. The first thing she does when she arrives is eat.” Lohan is expected to grace the cover of Spanish Vogue this fall. – David Caplan

Hilary, Sophia and More Turn Out to Celebrate Max Azria in Hollywood

If you want to know the secret to many gorgeous Hollywood bodies look no further then Max Azria.  At the opening of Live! On Sunset, a chic new store in West Hollywood, the designer behind the Herve Leger “bandage dress” displayed his spring collection and received praise from his famous fans. “I think I’m a little bit in love with Max just as a person,” said co-host Hilary Duff, “but he makes every girl’s body look insane and I love that!”  Sophia Bush counts Azria’s “amazing European loving sensibility” as his design gift and said, “he wants us all to feel embraced and loved…a more beautiful version of ourselves.” The real beauty of the curve hugging “bandage dress” is its flattering silhouette for all sizes. “I love the shape that they give. They’re not just for like stick thin people,” said Leona Lewis.  Taraji P. Henson summed up the vast appeal by tellling PEOPLE.com, “The best way I can put it is that it’s like a Spanx in a dress.  You don’t have to wear Spanx (because) it sucks you up and holds you in in all the right places.  That’s the perfect dress!” For Bush, Herve Leger also evoked nostalgic feelings, “I think the first time I ever wore Herve to an event was the Teen Choice Awards a couple years ago.  I was in this amazing dress and it was a great night for me. I got three surfboards to take home.  It was a very big memorable evening both fashion-wise and professionally.” – Michelle Ward

WATCH: Victoria Beckham Unveils her Sexy Emporio Armani Ads

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

Victoria Beckham might appear in almost nothing in her steamy Emporio Armani ads, but she was back to her fashionista self at the unveiling yesterday at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City. Sticking to Emporio Armani, Posh struck a pose with her 20-foot sexy banner ads in a black fitted tuxedo jacket with black jet beaded shoulders and black Swarovski crystal beaded leggings. Fans from all over crowded the main floor of the famous department store to catch a glimpse of Victoria in the flesh. Although this is the second time she got down to her skivvies for Armani, the fashion star wouldn’t take a peek at her giant ad. “It probably would have freaked me out a bit,” she tells WWD. “I don’t often do photo shoots like this. It’s great that when I am 60 years old with however many children, I am lucky enough to have by then, I can say, ‘Well, I looked good.’” And she sure does! Check out more of what Victoria has to say about getting (almost) naked in the video below.

Leighton Meester Reveals Her Fashion and Beauty Secrets to Instyle Hair

Courtesy of InStyle Hair

Leighton Meester may be famous for playing fashion-obsessed Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, but off-screen the actress has an equally killer sense of style. And in this month’s Instyle Hair, the cover girl dishes about all her fashion and beauty secrets, starting with her recent return to her natural blonde. “I’m a little serious, so I actually feel that being a brunette matches my personality more than the stereotypical blonde,” Leighton explains. And while her on-screen character may be instantly recognizable for her impressive wardrobe of headbands, when it comes to hair accessories, Leighton heads in another direction. “I like headbands,” she says, “but I’m definitely not as obsessed with them as Blair is.” Her hair favorite alternative? “I do wear hats a lot,” she says. “In the summer I’ll wear a nice straw hat that blocks the sun, or I’ll wear a cap or fedora to cover up bad hair days.” Meester’s own teenage fashion experience was a far cry from the luxe labels worn by her onscreen character. “I was picked on because I was a four-eyes and a dork,” she reveals. “I had long tangled hair and wore hemp necklaces, baggy T-shirts and not-so-cute jeans.” Times have certainly changed for the style icon. “I’ve grown up as far as the fashion world goes, but,” she says, “I still identify with that high school me.” Read more in InStyle Hair, the new special issue from InStyle, on sale tomorrow, May 8.
