SNEAK PEEK: Scarlett Johansson is the New Face of Mango!

We have always loved Penelope Cruz’s sexy ads for Mango, and now, the Spanish retailer is heating things up even more — with Scarlett Johansson! After four seasons Penelope is passing the torch to her Vicky Cristina Barcelona costar, who will take her place as the new face of Mango starting with the Fall/Winter 2009 campaign. Unlike Penelope, Scarlett won’t be designing a collection just yet — but Penelope and sister Monica’s line will be on hiatus for fall — but she is no stranger to getting sultry for the camera. The sexy star posed pin-up-style as the face of Dolce & Gabbana Makeup. This time around, Scarlett is taking a more cosmopolitan approach with shaggy hair and dark makeup to represent the chic and independent Mango woman. Based on the above picture, I don’t know what they are selling, but from a photography standpoint, it looks like a cool shot. However, a cool shot that doesn’t show the product is pointless for an ad.

First of all why Latina women? It’s a Spanish company from Europe! and they definitely needed a new face, Penelope is overrated as well, good to see a new face!

The reason they choose Scarlett to do these promos is because she is willing to do them.Penelope Cruz didnt want to renew her contract with Mango so she is the one that suggested her friend Scarlett.Cruz just won an Oscar and she wants to concentrate on her acting career.This is basically why you see Scarjo doing so many of these promos because she is willing to do them and they dont have to worry about her flashing her crotch across the tabloids and ruining the reputation of the company.Lindsay Lohan could have done a lot of the same stuff but she acts like a moron and is always in trouble and companies dont want that.

I think that this picture looks like Rachel Bilson. As a Latina woman myself, I think that a Hispanic woman should represent Mango. (Thanks, Latina, for agreeing with me!) But oh well, congrats, Scarlett!
