Winona Ryder's Anti-Aging Secret: Big Gulps of Water

Those of us who grew up on her classic films like Heathers and Reality Bites and see her now keep asking each other the same question: why is it that we keep getting older while Winona Ryder keeps staying the same age? “She hasn’t aged and let me tell you, she has had absolutely nothing done,” her make-up artist on her upcoming film Stay Cool and friend Kim Collea tells PEOPLE. Her secret? “She is a very healthy eater, and I think that is a big part of it,” says Collea. “It sounds boring, but the girl eats a lot of salads. And you know those giant Big Gulps cups that most people fill with soda? She’s got hers filled with water.” As for make-up, Ryder, who famously sported a Gothic look in movies like Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands, has switched to a minimalist and more natural look. “When it comes to Noni, less is always more,” says Collea. “With her I did a mix of Neutrogena, Chanel, and this stuff called Alison Raffaele a natural line. She likes everything to be natural. Her palette is all ivories, and beiges and very light browns.” One thing that hasn’t changed for the Gen-X icon is her knack for the perfect accessory. “She has the most amazing handbags,” says Collea. “Designers send them to her. They are beautiful.” To read more about Ryder’s surprising cameo in Star Trek and the 37-year-old’s new life in Hollywood, check out this week’s issue of PEOPLE. –Oliver Jones

This isn’t a great pic, but she really does have beautiful skin, and she has NO WRINKLES! Deny you are jealous and blind, and what kind of name is that? lol…

Oh and Sandy… I saw your myspace profile and girl, your tanned wrinkly skin looks like chapped leather! LMAO!

Deny Welsh – that has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of people that have kids and they take care of their body so it doesnt become ‘ruined’. I would be devastated if my mom thought I ‘ruined’ her body.
Winona looks as beautiful as she always has!

SANDY… what are you going to say about yourself when you are into your 30’s? If you are going to treat yourself this bad, you may as well kill yourself now dumbass! Women in their 30’s and 40’s should be confident as long as they take care of themselves! Not only Winona, but Salma Hayek, Monica Bellucci… as well as many others!!!

Duh, she had lots of wrinkles in Star Trek because they did that with makeup. That’s OBVIOULSY not how she looks!!!

She does look scared and the wrinkles are coming. That forehead has botox written all over it.

She’s pretty, but she has noticeable crow’s feet and wrinkles on her forehead. I’m 37 myself, and dare say, don’t look as old as her.
Are we really suppose to think this is youthful looking skin for 37. 37 isn’t old.

SORRY…….IT’S NOT WORKING FOR HER!! She probably needs to go lift some really good anti-wrinkle cream with her velcro fingers.

After trying about a thousand anti-aging face creams (OK, maybe it was ten), I finally found one that really works and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Like most women of a certain age, I have bought many brands of moisturizers and spent way too much money on stuff that just plain did nothing for me. With each purchase I had hoped that I would find a moisturizer that would actually DO something positive for my skin. Some moisturizers were too oily resulting in break outs or a patent leather shine (ugh). Most were irritating and perfumey resulting in red, blotchy skin. None did anything for my enlarged pores or lines.

Finally, skeptically, I tried the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer (from Made from Earth skincare). I LOVE IT! Your skin will be moisturized but not greasy. It did not irritate my extremely sensitive skin. My skin looks radiant and much less red. My fine lines are reduced and my enlarged pores look better. I like this Made from Earth moisturizer better than La Mer, Clinique, and Celex C. Try it – You’ll be a happy, repeat customer, too.

I think Wynonna looks fantastic, I know lots of women her age who are great looking, too. Good healthy diet and lifestyle help. And genetics. She’s a terrific actress who, yes, has her demons, but don’t we all?
