Leighton Meester, Kate Bosworth and More celebrate Chloe in Los Angeles

The new Chloe boutique in Los Angeles may be opening on Melrose Ave., but the celebration was so big, it had to be held at a Hollywood studio! Hosted by Kate Bosworth and Chloe Sevigny, both dressed in the French brand head-to-toe, the party brought out a bevy of celebs to Milk Studios on Thursday night, from Leighton Meester and beau Sebastian Stan to Molly Sims, Zoe Saldana, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Rachel Zoe and Bosworth’s model/boyfriend, James Rousseau. And why all the love for Chloe? “They have a lot of statement pieces, whether it’s a bag, or a blazer, there’s always a bit of flare and edge to everything,” Sigler told PEOPLE.com, herself dressed in a black blazer with a beaded lapel. But the line’s cut out dresses were the hit of the evening, seen on Saldana, Sevigny, and Meester. But for Meester, the decision was all about taking advantage of the warmer West Coast. “I’ve been in a perpetual winter for like an entire year in New York, so I was like I don’t care what it is I’m going backless, I’m going pantless, we’re doing it tonight! ” the Gossip Girl star enthused. And for Chloe fans in always-sunny L.A., that kind of summer-ready style is clearly something worth celebrating. - Shruti Dhalwala

Kim Kardashian Lightens Up: Love It or Hate It?

Kim Kardashian is as known for her long brunette locks as she is for her enviable curves, but today she hit the streets of N.Y.C. with dramatically lighter hair! The reality star had taken to her Twitter page earlier in the day hinting at the hair color change, writing “Hey everyone I have a drastic new look! I’m gonna twitpic it later today!” And several hours later, a photo did appear as promised with a new note, “I WENT BLONDE!!!! Do u like it?” So help Kim out and let her know what you think of her newly lightened do. UPDATE: Kim took her to her blog later to reveal that the new look is just a wig, but she’s contemplating the change! She writes, “I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! I haven’t taken it off since, because I’m really loving the look.” Do you think she should go for it? Nicole Richie Blogs About Her New Lines, Canada and Learning to Fly

may be expecting baby number two, but she’s not about to neglect her other love — her design line House of Harlow 1960! The designer took to her blog to write about her recent trip to Canada, which she kicked off with a signing at Holt Renfrew. Nicole explains that she relishes the chance to interact with the public, writing “I love doing signings because it’s really the only chance I have to come to face to face and thank everybody who has been supporting my line. What’s also really great about that is that I have the chance to get feedback about the line — what people’s favorite pieces are and I get to see firsthand what people are gravitating to the most.” And it’s not just about the jewelry — Nicole took the chance to tour the Majestic Mills plant where the rest of her clothing and accessories lines are coming together. “[I] had several other meetings throughout the day to begin shaping my clothing line, maternity line (details to come soon), as well as shoes and accessories. I was so excited to see the fabrics, the designs, and the first samples, as well as share our ideas for what the line will become…It marked the beginning of seeing my dream of a clothing and accessories line come to life” As if being a mom of two and designing multiple lines isn’t enough of a challenge, Nicole got the opportunity to co-pilot a plane. She blogs, “The pilot let me sit up front with him and play co-pilot. It was the most freeing, liberating, scary feeling I’ve ever had in my life. I had the best time…though I’m not sure about everybody else on the plane.” Stay tuned here for more details on Nicole’s lines as they become available.
