Anthony/Pacific Coast News

Gossip Girl‘s Queen Bee Leighton Meester might be known for her brown hair, but today in L.A. the actress showed off a buzz-worthy new honey blonde style. While it took us by surprise at first, we did remember that Leighton is actually a natural blonde who went brunette for her role in the hit show — so unlike Kim Kardashian, she’s returning to her true roots! Tell us: Do you prefer Leighton as a blonde, or should she go back to brunette?

She suits dark hair better. She looks more sophisticated with it dark, I hope she gets rid of the blond.

Love Leighton Meester and I’m shocked to learn she’s a natural blonde. My fav is as a brunette!

She looks washed out. I prefer people to keep things natural anyway, but in her case she really doesn’t look very good that way. She’s so beautiful with the dark hair.

Brunette, way better for her!

Definitely brunette – makes her eyes and skin glow. But I understand wanting the freedom to change it up while on hiatus.
