Julia is and always has been my favorite Hollywood Face on the planet. She’s more beautiful now than ever and I cannot foresee a decline anytime soon. She’s going to be one of those amazing “Classic Ladies” who stays gorgeous throughout her life and well into/through her golden years. Motherhood/family life certainly agrees with her…whatever she’s doing, she’s doing it right. This is one woman who could dip herself in dog$$$$ and make the look work. You just can’t hide natural presence or panache. Her real-ness has always been most refreshing. Years back, when the village was abuzz with “Julia’s-in-town” hoohaa, a good friend of mine who shall remain un-named presented me with a packette of photos he’d taken on Big River beach when Miss Roberts was filming, “Dying Young” in Mendocino. He couldn’t have given me a more appropriate gift at the time and to this day they are among some of my most cherished possessions, for many reasons. Julia Roberts, you ROCK. My favorite Leading Lady of ALL time. Just beautiful.

I personally love the idea of doing something like that in support of Cancer Awareness! I don’t have the bone structure to pull of shaving my head & have always loved color, though never gone to that extreme. I may do something this week in support of the Relay for Life I’ll be taking part in later this month!

I’ve had interesting colored streaks in my hair – usually pink – for about 15 years, since high school. I love the unexpected looks people give me, especially when I have all the kids with me and I’m the “strangest” looking of the bunch.

I think it’s great that Julia did this! Sometimes you have to break the mold and be who you are, not who the world expects you to be.

there is nothing wrong with adding a little spice to your look. i think people should feel free to if they wanted to add some fun colors in their hair, kudos if you can actually pull it off.

As long as she’s happy, who cares? I’ve been doing the colored streak thing since 1997, WHEN IT WASN’T popular…so, if it makes her happy and her kids like it; then no one else’s opinion matters.
