Lauren Conrad to Design Affordable Clothing Line for Kohl’s!

Matt Sayles/AP

She may have put her signature clothing line on hiatus, but that doesn’t mean that Lauren Conrad is taking a break from designing. The Hills star has just announced that she is teaming up with Kohl’s to bring fans her California cool style at more budget-friendly prices with the LC Lauren Conrad collection. Just how affordable will the new line be? The designs will range from $20 to $60 — a steal compared to her first eponymous line, where jersey dresses ran as much as $200. “Partnering with a successful national retailer like Kohl’s supports my mission to make great clothing accessible to young women everywhere,” Lauren said in a press statement. LC Lauren Conrad will launch with just apparel at 300 Kohl’s stores and kohls.com in October 2009, but may expand into footwear, jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear at a later date. Tell us: Will you buy from Lauren’s collection for Kohl’s?

Definitely. She has great style and if the designs are as cute as I imagine, I’ll definitely be checking them out! :) Go Lauren!

I am really glad she decided to work with Kohls being that in this day and age people can’t afford to pay the bills. How did she expect to sell jersey dresses for 200.00 when its the middle class people that love and watch her shoes . Its time celebs cater to the people who make them rich and able to do the things like design, sing, act or whatever . Thanks to LC !!!

Sounds interesting. I liked her style of the original clothing line, however some of it looked a bit boring. Hopefully this time around she will incorporate a little more style closer to what she actually wears. Good price point!

I’m glad she’ll have something more affordable. I love her line of clothing, but, damn…I was reading about it once, and I saw a dress I loved. Until I saw the price: $220. It was nice, but not worth THAT much. Let’s see what she does with the Kohl’s line. Now maybe I’d buy THAT.

I’m so excited. I love shopping at Kohl’s so this should be a very successful line. :) Awesome decision Lauren!!
