Uhh….Lauren…. There are PLENTY of opportunities for up & coming designers to break into the fashion world. The thing is, YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD. Just because you go/went to school doesn’t make you qualified (Lauren Conrad, anyone?). Who cares if Nicole Richie wants to make a fashion line? She’s stylish, grew up with fashion, knows good fabric, & is working with a company to put it together. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

I don’t care for Nicole Richie and all the pseudo, reality TV celebrities now days, but I do have to say that I love the way she dresses. She’s very fashionable, dresses appropriately for her age, but not sleazy like so many young hollywood celebrities. Whether or not that translates to a successful designer…I don’t know. But I’m interested in seeing what she comes out with, because she does truly have an ecletic, fresh fashion sense.

NO! Not excited! Just because someone likes clothes, does not make them qualified to design them. It’s so frustrating to see celebrities and their dumb clothing lines getting so much press, when there are so many talented young designers trying to get recognition, but they can’t because Nicole Richie thinks she knows fashion.

She’s grown up into a beautiful,fashionable young lady. Not only that but a wonderful & caring mom .
