Move over Eva Mendes, a new celebrity is moving into home design. Cindy Crawford has just announced her newest project, Cindy Crawford Style, a budget-friendly collection of home furnishings and accessories for JCPenney. Adding a fresh flair to traditional design, the collection will launch with everything from bedding, to window coverings, bath, decorative accessories, table top, area rugs, lighting and even wall decor. Select markets will also feature furniture. “I am thrilled to partner with JCPenney,” Cindy says of her collection, “and am looking forward to sharing my passion and sense of style for home decorating with consumers across America.” As for how she would describe the looks, the supermodel says that the “collection is designed to inspire and help create a look that’s fresh, effortless and enduring.” Prices will range from $10 for a bath towel to $170 for the queen comforter set above in this exclusive image. Tell us: Will you decorate your home with Cindy’s designs when they launch in September?

Cindy Who? When I was considering all the women in the modeling industry with fabulous style her name did not come to mind. I guess she’s perfect for Penny’s. I wouldn’t even think about seeking goods from her. Nancy

Would anybody buy this stuff if my name was on it? NO! Why not a celebrity name? They will sell more. That’s the whole point of this business. I would definitly do some clothing or home design if I was famous. By the way did Cindy Crawford get a eye lift or some kind of facial surgery? This pic makes her look like she did.

It is too bad that “regular” people aren’t worthy of endorsing things. Remember the lady who said, “Where’s the Beef”? We need more of that instead of celebrity endorsements. We are real people and recognize others who are like us.

Whether a manufacturer approached Ms. Crawford or not isn’t what’s in question. Many of these celebrities lend their name only to a product. Yes, some are more involved in the design process, but many aren’t. I don’t know what makes some of them think they can be designers when they have no experience or training in it at all. Perhaps I can be a tax accountant because you know, I’ve had two accounting courses in college.

I would buy something of good quality and nice color…No matter who’s name was one it! Why do I need Cindy Crawford’s name on it? I guess if they want someone to buy a boring blue printed quilt and matching shams, they may get a few that just like Cindy’s style..regardless of her input! But, that is the American way!

Yes, if it’s from my girl Cindy- I’m interested!

I like that color, Cindy- you are a Goddess! I still exercise to your workout videos. When’s the new one coming out? How about Yoga or Pilates this time…

The celebrity may or may not have a level of design input, depending on the licensing agreement. Your indignation, while no doubt well meant, isn’t needed by the maufacturer’s design team
