Move over Eva Mendes, a new celebrity is moving into home design. Cindy Crawford has just announced her newest project, Cindy Crawford Style, a budget-friendly collection of home furnishings and accessories for JCPenney. Adding a fresh flair to traditional design, the collection will launch with everything from bedding, to window coverings, bath, decorative accessories, table top, area rugs, lighting and even wall decor. Select markets will also feature furniture. “I am thrilled to partner with JCPenney,” Cindy says of her collection, “and am looking forward to sharing my passion and sense of style for home decorating with consumers across America.” As for how she would describe the looks, the supermodel says that the “collection is designed to inspire and help create a look that’s fresh, effortless and enduring.” Prices will range from $10 for a bath towel to $170 for the queen comforter set above in this exclusive image. Tell us: Will you decorate your home with Cindy’s designs when they launch in September?

Ehh, not so much.

But at least it’s not another clothing line! haha

Love it…..visit at katandelle.blogspot.com

Definitely not. And I’m sick of celebs slapping their names on things like perfume and decor when the real artists that make these designs and perfumes get no recognition for their talent.

LOVE that blue set; I’ll probably drool over Cindy’s line on jcp.com, but there is a recession at my house so no purchasing for now!

Melissa, sorry but you are misinformed. In the case of celebrities, it’s called “licensing” and it is entirely likely that a soft goods manufacturer (bedding, bath, etc.) approached Cindy about buying the right to use her name–a license–on their product(s). The celebrity may or may not have a level of design input, depending on the licensing agreement. Your indignation, while no doubt well meant, isn’t needed by the maufacturer’s design team (its employees). They’re just doing their jobs.

I’m not sure if this is or is not my virgin comment? kharndt’s comment, while fresh & noval… (not)it smacks of a sullied, pretentious, sun-burnt nose! I wouldn’t want to be critisized by someone out simply to put-down the critique\s of another consumer.
