Soon you’ll be able to channel style icon Nicole Richie from head to toe — at least as far as accessories are concerned. Following the success of her line of headbands and jewelry, the star has just inked a deal to design footwear, WWD reports. Partnering with the manufacturers who produce Modern Vintage shoes and Earnest Sewn jeans, Richie will add a line of around 20 shoe styles to her House of Harlow 1960 label for spring of 2010, as well as bags, belts and small accessories. And according to business partner Rick Cytrynbaum, Richie will have creative control at every level of the design process. “Nicole is designing everything herself,” he says. “She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her.” Click here to check out her current collection at shopkitson.com. Tell us: What do you think about Richie’s latest design venture?

Olivia…how do you look like :))

I don’t really concern myself about Nicole one way or the other, but I do applaud her for getting her life in order and cleaning up her act. I think she finally realized there are better things to do with her life than to be Paris’ shadow/puppet. Good for her. Keep your priorities straight Nicole, and place you and your family first. When it gets down to it, nothing else really matters.

When I first saw her on the Simple Life…omg..I don’t really think anyone liked her because she was just rude and crass. She has really come a long way and has a beautiful little girl to show from getting her act together along with what appears to be a wonderful relationship. Kudo’s to you Nicole…I hope you do well in life.

Nichole Richie is the adopted daughter of Richard Pryor.

I think it is really great when opportunities open up for people and they end up doing worthwhile things in life. Seems like that is what has happened/is happening with Nicole so I say “Good for you and keep on doing what makes you happy because alot of it benefits others, as well!”

I believe that Nicole Ritchie can even be more successful with american consumers if she provides jobs by having the shoes made in America. What a phenomenan, shoes made in America!
I for one look for shoes made anywhere except communist China and it’s not easy to find any that are within the $100 pair price range.

I agree with Valerie. It’s ok to express that you don’t like someone, but it is sickening to wish someone “to go back to be a drug addict”, especially when that someone is a young mother. Louis, are you a drug addict yourself? Is that why you are so “heartless and cruel”?

Paula, Nicole is the daughter of Lionel Richie, not Richard Pryor. And why do people insist on saying “adopted daughter” anyway? Legally and emotionally, she is his daughter.

She was quite a skank before, but since she is with Joel, she changed so much. I like both of them and their baby and it does not matter why she is famous, if her designs were crap, they would not ask her to do a shoe-line. Good luck.

Regardless of how she became famous; Lionel Richie’s daughter, or Paris H.’s tag-along, I think it’s fantastic to see the way she has turned her life around. She seems to be a great mom, and is content in a good relationship. And if she is designing products that people are interested in buying, then I say Good for her!
