It doesn’t seem to be selling the shoes so much and I can’t really believe she’d wear that outfit with those shoes but I guess the ad is trying to say every girl/fashionista should have a pair because they’re supposedly THAT fashionable. More believable if it was a fashion conscious female hip hop dancer and/or pro-athlete – but that seems typical and expected.

This ad does not work for me! The “scene” looks like it’s printed on canvas and hung in a studio on a cement floor. From the outfit, to her smirk, to the shoes (which are hideous), to the boombox, to the weird faraway perspective — it’s all disjointed. Nothing in this ad comes together to sell her as a model or the shoes.
