Michelle Obama Kicks Off Her Stylish Trip to Europe

Mark Wilson/Getty, Stephen Hird/Landov

As Barack and Michelle Obama embark on their first official trip to Europe, England is already buzzing about what the stylish First Lady will wear. And if her traveling outfits are any indication, this will be one chic trip across the pond. The First Lady departed the White House in a custom ivory tweed Thakoon coat over a black Michael Kors sheath paired with low Jimmy Choo heels. But like any intrepid traveler, she changed on Air Force One to make her entrance in England in a bold chartreuse Jason Wu sheath under a black Michael Kors coat. Since Michelle is already wearing designs from favorites like Wu (who also designed her Inaugural gown), can we expect to see Narciso Rodriguez and J. Crew pieces on this trip? And what about the traditional hat when meeting the Queen of England? Will she continue to bare her arms? We will have to wait and see — check back for updates throughout the week, and take a look back at all of Michelle’s style since the Inauguration at InStyle.com.

Rachel Zoe Interviews Sienna Miller About Being a Designing Star

Neil Rasmus/PatrickMcMullan/Sipa

She may have her own fan-base of ultra-glam celebrities, but star stylist Rachel Zoe is making no secret of her love of the “free spirit approach” of star designer Sienna Miller‘s ready-to-wear line Twenty8Twelve, created in partnership with her sister Savannah Miller. Zoe had the rare opportunity to interview the designing duo for Interview magazine — and a love of fashion, she learned, was a family affair from the start. “Our mum was very glamorous in a shimmery, ’80s sort of way,” Sienna says. “She had endless dinner parties. It was very Bohemian and inspiring to grow up around creative people in that way.” And when Savannah headed to the esteemed St. Martins design school, Sienna naturally offered input on her sister’s projects. “When we were approached to do the line,” Sienna reveals of the collection’s 2006 launch, “it felt like an organic step to take. It means we get to spend time together, and it’s a lot of fun.” And for her part, interviewer Zoe wouldn’t mind stepping into the sisters’ shoes, telling them, “It would be my dream to form a business with my sister and I envy you both for doing so.” Click here to read Zoe’s full interview with Sienna and Savannah. Then tell us: What do you think of their designs? Would you want to work with your sister?

Pamela Anderson: Fashion’s Latest Muse

Yessika Vivancos/ROCK Fashion Week

“I really don’t like to wear clothes. I would rather go naked,” says Pamela Anderson before the ROCK Fashion Week Richie Rich runway show at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Resort Fri. night. “But I love Richie’s designs, so I agreed to be part of Muse.” Former Heatherette designer Richie Rich has teamed up with Pamela to design a line of eco-friendly fashions that will debut in mid summer named Muse, in honor of Anderson’s constant inspiration to the designer. Since Anderson is an avid animal activist, the team will design leather-free shoes and other casual ready-to-wear items like hoodies, skirts, swimwear and frocks that are made of environmentally friendly materials. “Pam is an outdoorsy and summer kind of girl who I have been friends with forever,” Rich tells PEOPLE. “We share the same wild and crazy aesthetic. And she has long been my inspiration.” Rich, who designed Anderson’s white wedding gown for her South of France marriage to Kid Rock three years ago, says she resembles sexy Hollywood sirens of years back. “Even though Pam prefers not to wear clothes, she looks great in sexy dresses,” he says. “She reminds me of Marilyn Monroe and Bridget Bardot.” – Linda Marx

Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Her New Clothing Line

Courtesy Flynet

Style maven Gwyneth Paltrow is about to be the next star to turn designer. French label ZOEtee’s confirms to PEOPLE.com that the actress is designing a capsule collection with them — and she’s already showing it off! Stepping out in London last week, the star wore a heather gray jersey dress from her debut ZOEtee’s LOVES Gwyneth line. The collection, which will consist of seven easy-dressing silhouettes ranging from casual basics to draped evening dresses, will capture the star’s laid-back daytime style, as well as her always-elegant red carpet looks. Taking inspiration from ’70s glam and rock ‘n’ roll, the line will play with form, pairing over-sized shapes with tight-fitting styles and asymmetrical cuts. And style icon Gwyneth made sure she was involved in every stage of the development process, from fit to detailing to fabrics and packaging. Expect to see mesh detailed tops, draped evening dresses, vintage look sweatshirts, jumpsuits and recycled cotton legging basics. ZOEtee’s Loves Gwyneth will hit stores in both Europe and the U.S. in mid-August, with proceeds from every piece being donated to the charity Kids Company. Stay tuned for more information. Tell us: Would you buy clothes by Gwyneth Paltrow?
