Chloe Sevigny's Unisex Designs Debut At London Fashion Week

Sienna Miller wasn’t the only star power showing off her design skills at London Fashion Week Big Love‘s Chloe Sevigny also debuted her second collection for Opening Ceremony. The new line, Chloe tells WWD, is a “slight homage” to one of her favorite designers, Miguel Adrover, with dashes of “gay lumberjack,” James Dean, preppy New England and English punk. This unisex line marks Chloe’s first foray into menswear. “There’s much less pressure doing men’s, and because this collection is unisex and oversized, I felt like I could have more fun,” she tells WWD. Long cardigans, leopard-print, thermals, Fair Isle and skinny trousers were just some of the designs that made up the collection. Chloe’s Opening Ceremony line is priced from $95 for a fringed scarf to $945 for an overcoat and is sold at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles as well as at Barney’s, Colette and Dover Street Market. While Chloe has no intention of leaving acting for fashion she does want to spread her creative wings. “Maybe I’d do a very small collection for one of the big luxury brands,” she tells the fashion publication. The high waisted pants and the spotted sweater are pretty um…not flattering (I’m trying to be diplomatic here)
I can’t really see any guy wearing that, much less one who wants to look like James Dean.
Maybe they’d wear one of the button down shirts or the blazer but it’s more likely that she needs to stick to her day job.

um… wtf is that girl on the left wearing? so, so ugly!!

That’s some pretty ugly stuff. I hope she keeps her day job. These clothes look like something you would find in the goodwill barrel.

I thought the grunge look was last century. I’m not sure looking like a slob is really a style.

HI! I know I’m posting in the wrong section- but does anyone know the brand of PARIS HILTON’S LEATHER JACKET that she has been wearing ALL throughout Fashion Week in NYC (the week of the 15th Feb)??

THANK YOU!!

so excited about her line.. she’s such a fasion maverick! i’m always amazed about how she can pull off unique looks, while other celebs just conform to what everyone else’s wearing.

I agree with Elle. Chloe’s sense of style is so unique and completely out of the box. She adheres to her own style rules – in that there are no rules – regardless of socially accepted norms and trends. Though I would not wear any of these items, you gotta admire the statement. She deserves kudos and I’ll be looking out for those shoes to hit stores…totally hot!!

I’m sick of all these stars coming out with their own clothing lines. Leave that to designers please.

NO NO NO!
Let’s start with the first look. The pant-things… well, enough said.
Second look – I’m not sure what’s covering the lower half of her torso, but it’s made out of leather, so no. And then we have gladiator boots. Seriously – do you think a GUY would wear those??
Last look – unless a guy were in a ballet, there’s no way he would go out in a leopard print CARDIGAN and leggins. And once again, we have the gladiator boots.
