Sneak Peek: Nastia Liukin Models for Max Azria

After winning a gold medal in the 2008 Bejing Summer Olympics, Nastia Liukin has become a fixture on the fashion scene. From front row seats at New York Fashion Week to collaborating with Vanilla Star Jeans for a junior girls’ clothing line to guest starring on Gossip Girl, the teen gymnast is leaving her mark on the fashion world– and now, there are the pictures to prove it! Debuting in her first high-fashion campaign, Nastia poses for dance-inspired photos for Max Azria, the runway line under the BCBGMAXAZRIA brand. “For the Max Azria campaign, we wanted someone iconic –- someone timeless. We met Nastia at our runway show, and she was everything we were looking for. The Spring collection was inspired by movement and Modern Dance; she was perfect. It was meant to be, and the magic just sort of happened,” says Lubov Azria, Creative Director BCBGMAXAZRIA. Nastia’s pictures will be used for a lookbook, in-store imagery and online us. Justin Timberlake to Show at Bryant Park This Fashion Week

The tents at Bryant Park may be losing superstar designers like Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier to other venues this season, but Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy right back into the famed fashion venue. According to WWD, the star designer’s William Rast line will be making its Bryant Park debut on February 16. This show follows his acclaimed runway presentation, along with design partner Trace Ayala, at Roseland Ballroom last September. And of course, we’ll be bringing you the full scoop on the William Rast show and so many more when Fashion Week begins on February 13.

Taylor Momsen Talks Fashion, Beauty and Fitness

Since catching the attention of fans as Gossip Girl‘s rebelious Jenny Humphrey, the 15-year-old actress has been thrust into the fashion spotlight. Just like her onscreen character, Taylor Momsen has adopted an edgy downtown look for her own. “[It's] kind of eclectic. I dress for my mood, so it changes daily. There’s always an element of black in it,” Taylor tells Teen Vogue , who caught up with the teenager to talk fashion. Unlike most girls her age, Taylor has the opportunity to wear some of the hottest designers [DASH] the Ford model names Alexander Wang, Marchesa, Dior, YSL, Miu Miu and Dolce & Gabbana as her favorite lines. Along with the big names, Taylor is also discovering young New York designers like Gary Graham. “He’s got a tiny little boutique, where he mixes grungy with girly,” says Taylor about her lesser known favorite. From her own closet, Taylor says, “One favorite staple that I could never get rid of is my black leather jacket. It’s perfectly worn in. And keep in mind that I have a lot of leather jackets, but there’s just that one I always want to put on.” And, it looks like the heavy eye make-up that her onscreen character is known for is also part of her own look. Taylor doesn’t leave the house without mascara–citing Maybelline and Lancôme as her go-to brands. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the latest red carpet fashions, then you know that many celebrities, like Jessica Simpson and Kate Bosworth, are big fans of Herve Leger’s body-hugging bandage dresses. It’s just one of the ways designers are reflecting this season’s streamlined silhouettes. But it seems like just yesterday we were embracing more billowy styles, like Kate Beckinsale’s bubble dress. Only a few seasons ago, the look was perfect for a top, skirt or dress and post holiday weight gain, that’s one trend we wouldn’t mind revisiting. Prince William: Clean-Shaven, Rested and Ready to Fly

Call him The Fresh-Faced Prince of the Air as Prince William gets a new look while embarking on a new life training to pilot rescue helicopters. The prince, 26, arrived back in London after a romantic trip to the seclusion of the Scottish highlands with girlfriend Kate Middleton Tuesday, sparking a new round of impending engagement rumors. And gone was the beard that he grew before Christmas. The news of William’s clean-shaven return to London came as he and his brother, Prince Harry, 24, announced at the same time that they have now been given their own office by their granny, Queen Elizabeth II. William is set to be in London for some royal work and then starts training as a Royal Air Force search-and-rescue helicopter pilot later this month. This month also sees Harry beginning two-and-a-half years of training to fly British army helicopters.The princely pair’s training will even mean that they are stationed at the same base at some point in the year. Rachel Zoe Makes a Bride and Groom of Kate and Anne

When Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway hit the New York premiere of their movie Bride Wars, we couldn’t help but notice the dichotomy between Kate’s white-and-navy Oscar de la Renta gown and Anne’s simple Band of Outsiders tuxedo. Of course, it wasn’t a coincidence. Rachel Zoe, who styled both Kate and Anne for the premiere, tells WWD that the ladies, in fact, wanted to play off the archetypes of bride and groom! “Kate had this idea in her head. She wanted to play off the whole bridal theme of the movie and do something over the top. It had the drama of a bridal gown but it wasn’t totally bridal,” said Rachel. “It was Annie’s idea to do a tuxedo and my initial reaction was that they were going to look like a bride and groom…and she liked that.” We can’t wait to see what these two fashion plates have up their sleeves for the rest of their red carpets.
