Paris Cuts Her Hair Short: Love It or Hate It?

Chris Polk/FilmMagic

Paris Hilton is never shy about changing up her look — especially when it comes to hair. But while the famous blonde constantly shifts between updos and loose hair, ponytails, chignons and shag dos — to name just a few of the styles she’s shown off in the past couple months only — one thing usually remains the same: her love of sexy volume and length. That’s why we were surprised to see the heiress turn up at InStyle‘s Golden Globes after party last night with this short and sleek bob, which reminds us of a cut she had in her teenage years. Tell us: Do you think that Paris should stick her new shorter look, or should she go back to her longer locks?

Renee Zellweger’s Golden Globes Look: Love It or Hate It?

Frazer Harrison/Getty

When we think of Renee Zellweger on the red carpet, visions of sleek blonde hair and retro strapless gowns come to mind. So, we were a little surprised by the Oscar winner’s appearance at the Golden Globes in a look that seemed to pull from a Victorian inspiration. Gone was the recent short hair, replaced by an updo of corkscrew curls. In place of the usual shoulder-baring gown was a see-through blouse over a nude corset and fishtail skirt — all still by Carolina Herrera, of course. We always applaud stars for trying new looks — isn’t that the fun part of fashion? (See all the Best Dressed stars at the Golden Globes by clicking here!) But we want to know what you think. Stars Kick off Awards Season with Diamonds, Diamonds and More Diamonds!

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

On Thursday afternoon, Golden Globe nominees and other fashionable celebs were on the hunt for just that final touch for their red carpet looks. Celebs like Maria Bello, Debra Messing, Rumer Willis, Andrea Bowen, and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon attended the 8th Annual Awards Show Diamond Fashion Show preview at The Beverly Hills Hotel hosted by the Diamond Information Center and InStyle magazine, ooh-ing and ah-ing the latest in red-carpet bling.  Emceed by InStyle‘s Fashion Director, Hal Rubenstein, celebs took in a show highlighting this season’s awards show picks from top jewelers like Tiffany &Co, Van Cleef & Arpels, Lorraine Schwartz, Neil Lane and others, paired with designer gowns from Oscar De La Renta, Caroline Herrera, Zac Posen, and Dolce & Gabbana. “Coming to this particular luncheon is always helpful to me because you get to see all the biggest and best diamonds teamed up with beautiful gowns,” Bowen told PEOPLE. “So in that sense you get to see what works…I’m always marking down and taking notes.” And she wasn’t the only one seeking inspiration. “I already know what I’m wearing,”said Beauvais-Nilon. “[But] for Sunday I just need amazing earrings so I’m shopping today.” Sums up the Curious Case of Benjamin Button‘s Taraji P. Hensen, “If I could wear diamonds from head to toe and afford it, I definitely would.” Afterall, diamonds are a girl’s best friend. –Shruti Dhalwala

Runway to Red Carpet: Jessica Alba in Dolce & Gabbana’s Silk Pajamas

Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty; Valerie Macon/Getty

Jessica Alba had quite an edgy fashion day yesterday. First, she stepped out in pegged and pleated purple pants during the day, and then she hit the premiere of My Bloody Valentine in Dolce & Gabbana’s silk pajamas. We remember the daring evening ensemble, which harks back to the ’40s, from the Italian design duo’s runway show in September. We applaud Jessica for wearing a runway look, which can be tough to pull off, with such ease and elegance. But we can see how the satin set might not be everyone’s taste, so we want to know what you think of the look. Tell us: Do you like the Dolce & Gabbana look on Jessica, or is it better left to the runway?

Get Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson’s Favorite Drink Recipe

This week on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Anne Hathaway explained her favorite new drink, which she discovered through Bride Wars costar Kate Hudson (watch the video!). Turns out the “Skinnygirl Margarita” is actually the invention of another celebrity — the Real Housewives of New York City‘s Bethenny Frankel! Kate is a huge fan of the show’s and of Bethenny’s, in particular. While the drink is actually going to be sold in pre-bottled form in stores this summer, you can start making the low-cal drink (under 120 calories per serving) at home now.

Over ice, pour:
One shot (1.5 oz) clear tequila
4 limes (squeezed)
A tiny splash of Cointreau or triple sec
*if too strong, add a splash of soda

Would You Wear Purple Pants like Jessica Alba?

DS-ISM/Flynet

We love Jessica Alba‘s casual style — fun T-shirts, cool cardigans and great jeans. So we had to look twice at her outfit for a friend’s party today in Los Angeles. Her accessories, including her luxe Gerard Darel snakeskin bag and lace-up sandals, are totally killer, and Blair Waldorf herself would covet that feminine ruffled blouse. But we just can’t decide how we feel about Jessica’s high-waisted purple pants, which are pleated and pegged at the ankle. When you are gorgeous and fit as Jessica, you can pull off a look this tricky, but for the rest of us, this might be one look we have to sit out. Tell us: Would you wear Jessica’s purple pants?
