Move over Taylor Swift, an unlikely country star is ready to join you among the fashionistas. Toby Keith, known more for his burly persona than his sartorial taste, will launch his TK Steelman clothing line of casual duds for average dudes in February. The line, which Keith plans to market to Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s and Macy’s, will feature long-sleeve shirts, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, jeans, cowboy hats, baseball caps, bandanas, belts, leather wrist straps and will target men aged 25 to 54. A press release describes the clothing as “part rocker and part biker with a ‘country sexy’ aesthetic”. The line will offer several types of sleeveless shirts, the singer’s signature style, by special request of Keith, who for years has torn the sleeves off his own shirts. In another nod to the star’s background, the brand will feature oilfield imagery on the logo and font selections, a nod to Keith’s pre-fame days working in the oilfields of Oklahoma. Keith will launch his line on Feb. 18 at his restaurant “I Love This Bar & Grill” in Harrah’s Las Vegas. Tell us: WIll your guy wear Toby’s line?–Eileen Finan

TK is pro COUNTRY. He supported Bush because he was our president and he supported our troops. I am sure that he will support our current president also!

Gee Tamms, does that mean you won’t go see any movie or concert that supports a celeb that endorsed Obama?

All you liberals, please shut up! This article had nothing to do with politics. Once again, you are bringing up politics because you are not satisfied unless you have something, anything, to whine about. TK rocks, and even though I don’t personally know anyone who would wear leather wrist straps, and especially sleeveless shirts (sorry Toby), I’m sure there are some men out there who could ROCK this look. And I loved what Toby did to the Dixie Hicks, they are the stupidest hillbillies and their music is pathetic. They give country music a bad name, unlike TK!

WOW!!! a clothing line creates a lot of crap. Buy, not Buy who cares if you can afford clothes in this economy go for it …. maybe 33% discount for no sleeves….. Everything in store RED WHITE AND BLUE. I still not sure how people can support our troops and absolutely hate the administration that puts them where they are…. Then they go after those who may or may not have done something wrong, but because of the uniform all are guilty til innocent. I will not only buy his gear I would pay twice as much to donate to those who have fallen for my freedoms. That Governments don’t think twice of taking away from us. Salute TK

Stop with all the assumptions (made by white men – do you know that for a fact!)…it’s this type of mentality that will forever let the bad guys win.

It’s Simple…If you don’t like it don’t buy it.

Tamms,

You need to stop getting all your info from CNN and think for yourself every once in a while. FYI, Toby Keith is a Democrat not a Republican even though he did support President Bush.

I agree Mickey. This has nothing to do with politics. Toby worked hard and made it big so if he wants to have a clothing line, good for him, although not all men will look as good as he does in a sleeveless shirt. I’ve seen him in person a few times he is one sexy man!

Toby Keith is a talented singer who has not only done well for himself, but has opened doors for a lot of other rising stars. He has been devoted to his faith and his family at all times. Period. He deserves more respect than a lot of people are giving him. His clothing line will be a success even though not everyone will buy it. I really wish people could love him, hate him, or just not care and let that be enough said. Too often we let our strong headedness cause us to say really cruel things to people that we do not even know, and we never give any thought to just how much that may hurt or offend them. There is no need to debate over politics as we all have an opinion and everybody feels that theirs is the right one. And, while I agree that our country is in the worst economic state ever, I also feel we need to pray more and blame less. Put your faith in God, not man, and half the battle will already be won. Peace to each of you.

actually, toby was a democrat. he said in an interview during the last election cycle that he no longer identifies with the part and considers himself an independent.

does that matter about this clothing? not really. gotta say, though, the whole sleeveless shirt deal on guys? not so much. but thanks, toby, for not voting obama.

Tamms, I assume you are lumping yourself in the “smart people” category…that remains to be seen but the fact that TK supported Bush and the war does not mean he was for Bush or the war. There is a difference. I may not have voted for Obama but he is our president and I will respect him as such and not bad-mouth him (like the Chicks did Bush). I also support our warfighters even though I may not be for war. So as far as I’m concerned…we all should have TK’s “beliefs”. Furthermore…I’m sure you buy stuff every day that goes to support people who’s beliefs are different from your own “mon amie”.
