Renee Zellweger’s Golden Globes Look: Love It or Hate It?

When we think of Renee Zellweger on the red carpet, visions of sleek blonde hair and retro strapless gowns come to mind. So, we were a little surprised by the Oscar winner’s appearance at the Golden Globes in a look that seemed to pull from a Victorian inspiration. Gone was the recent short hair, replaced by an updo of corkscrew curls. In place of the usual shoulder-baring gown was a see-through blouse over a nude corset and fishtail skirt — all still by Carolina Herrera, of course. Given the choices of love it or hate it, I had to pick love it. The updo and skirt were great, the top not so much…B+ overall.

She always looks so fab at these award shows so I was horrified to see her crap awful dreary black gown of blah. Her hair looks like a bad dye job and the curl-do is very unflattering. The black makes her look washed out and old. That’s really too bad because she always looks stunning in bright colors and gorgeous gowns.

I always thought she was made of plastic. The bottom of the dress was gorgeous, but the top, well it did look like it was on backwards. The hair was great, but she’s just too shiney.
