Runway to Red Carpet: Jessica Alba in Dolce & Gabbana’s Silk Pajamas

Jessica Alba had quite an edgy fashion day yesterday. First, she stepped out in pegged and pleated purple pants during the day, and then she hit the premiere of My Bloody Valentine in Dolce & Gabbana’s silk pajamas. We remember the daring evening ensemble, which harks back to the ’40s, from the Italian design duo’s runway show in September. We applaud Jessica for wearing a runway look, which can be tough to pull off, with such ease and elegance. But we can see how the satin set might not be everyone’s taste, so we want to know what you think of the look. Tell us: Do you like the Dolce & Gabbana look on Jessica, or is it better left to the runway?

I think the word is “off.”

this just looks stupid.

PJ’s belong at home, not on the red carpet. That being said…the PJ’s are a massive step up from those hideous pants she was wearing earlier in the day.

Hm…I watched the picture for a few moments to figure out if she was elegant or sloppy…Sorry D&G, but not every outfit you create has to be one of the best! I’m in with Claire and the other gals, she shouldn’t have made such a choice for the Red Carpet..Sorry Jessica, a no-no this time!

I guess this is what happens when you let yourself get knocked up and then have to get married…you lose all sense of fashion. Probably the only thing she had without spit up on it. Oh wait…I think I see some….

I think its cool. I am the first to say pjs are bedroom, saturday cleaning only. But, she is bringing a new look to it. I believe if her hair had been a more vintage look she would have done it. Its better than some celebs looks, and its certainly a dare that is working for her.

People, that’s what they call fashion. They are celebs not ordinary people and she looks great. Can’t we promote people instead of always putting them down. If you have nothing nice to say then why do you waste you’re time writing. In the end she gets what she wants – you talking about her, the designer, and what she is wearing.

Ughh. This look says “Not tonight, Cash! I want to do my nails and make some cocoa and call up my gal pals.”

PJ’s are for home and IHOP only, not the red carpet. On second thought I don’t think they’re really for IHOP either, maybe someone should tell everybody and their mothers who wear them out for breakfast.

I agree that pj’s are for the bedroom BUT these aren’t exactly flannel. They are very nice and better then what I see some in. If she had house slippers on I’d say no way but I think it is an ok choice. I just hope she doesn’t start dressing this way on the red carpet all the time.
