Runway to Red Carpet: Jessica Alba in Dolce & Gabbana’s Silk Pajamas

Jessica Alba had quite an edgy fashion day yesterday. First, she stepped out in pegged and pleated purple pants during the day, and then she hit the premiere of My Bloody Valentine in Dolce & Gabbana’s silk pajamas. We remember the daring evening ensemble, which harks back to the ’40s, from the Italian design duo’s runway show in September. We applaud Jessica for wearing a runway look, which can be tough to pull off, with such ease and elegance. But we can see how the satin set might not be everyone’s taste, so we want to know what you think of the look. Tell us: Do you like the Dolce & Gabbana look on Jessica, or is it better left to the runway?

I’m sorry PJs should be reserved for the bedroom. I hate these as much as I hate the purple pants – ugh! My celeb fashion favs are here – iheartheels.com.

It’s not a good look for her. The only person that gets away wearing pj’s is Hugh Hefner.

Danya

She’s look great in them – for sleeping. But leave the pj’s at home, please!

Resa

I really love the look on her it looks very elegant.

amy

no. just no.

Claire

Just because you’re a mom now doesn’t mean you get to wear your jammies on the red carpet!

Points for effort but she doesn’t have the height to execute this look.

honey

This looks terrible!

Chelsea

I can see what she was going for but instead of coming off as elegant and vintage, the outfit is clearly pajamas (maybe if she had had more accessories or something to offset it) and makes her body look too distorted. I appreciate the attempt at something different and edgier but the look just falls a little short.
