Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Her Holiday Menus – Recipes Included!

Lionel Cironneau/AP

We’ve already heard what Gwyneth Paltrow will be giving as gifts this holiday season, and in this week’s installment of GOOP, the star is sharing her holiday recipes. She expains, “I generally always make the same meal for Christmas as I do for Thanksgiving with a few exceptions, the Mulled Wine being the most exciting addition. I cringe when I add cupfuls of sugar to sweeten things, so instead I add agave syrup to this lovely spiced drink and it works beautifully.” But she went the extra mile and created Hanukkah and Christmas menus for her readers. “For Hanukkah I love a Whole Roasted Fish with Salsa Verde and with the addition of the Latkes, you get that wonderful crisp potato thing on the side; it’s very satisfying.” And don’t forget the sweets! “The Christmas morning breakfast/brunch is easy to prepare and has great seasonal and holiday flavors. The Spiced Pumpkin & Walnut Bread has become one of my favorites, I could eat the whole loaf.” Paltrow has even made some of our favorites a little bit better for us. “The biscuits are a healthier version of the good ole’ southern version but are just as tasty. You can scramble an egg, add one of the homemade sausages, stick ‘em in the fresh warm biscuit and, to quote a line from the epic eighties film Sixteen Candles, ‘Wha-lah, breakfast is ready!’ ” Get all the recipes at Goop.com. Paris, Nicky, Nicole, Lauren, Rachel and More Celebrate with D&G

Reuters /Landov

A little rain didn’t stop the fashionistas from celebrating the unveiling of the D&G flagship store on Robertson Boulevard, benefiting Art of Elysium. Lauren Conrad planned ahead for the chilly night. “I wanted to wear tights, so I asked for a mini.” she tells PEOPLE of her black chiffon cocktail dress, which she paired with a Top Shop hair bow. Conrad says she has yet to decrease her shopping budget. “For me I’m cutting back everywhere except for shopping. I think being a designer I want to continue to support them right now. I think it’s a really scary time but if people stop spending it’s only going to get worse.” Jennifer Morrison, in a black velvet mini cocktail frock, had her own strategy to keep from shopping. “I’m trying not to look. I’ve already spent way more money in D&G stores than I ever should!” she says. But the 6,136-square-foot store contained plenty of temptation for the House actress. “In here they have space to really show the whole collection, which is so nice,” Morrison says. And Ginnifer Goodwin, also in all black, pointed out the “convenient” location. “Robertson definitely has its own following as a street. It’s a younger, hipper Rodeo,” says the actress, who chatted with host Rachel Bilson inside. Sister act Paris and Nicky Hilton chatted and happily posed for photos on the red carpet. D&G devotees also included some men, like Danny Masterson, who spun tunes under his moniker DJ Momjeans; Corbin Bleu, who chatted with Rumer Willis; Joel Madden, who hung tight with girlfriend Nicole Richie; and Golden Globe nominee Kevin Connolly who wants the fashion house to dress him for the big day. “It’s already a done deal. They’re always the nicest.” – Jenny Sundel

Joel Madden’s DCMA Shoe Collaboration with K-Swiss: “It’s a Good Marriage”

Scott Kirkland/INF

Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden are expanding their DCMA Collective lifestyle brand just in time for the holidays, celebrating their new K-DCMA shoe line at their flagship store in L.A. on Saturday night. “We wanted to do shoes for a while,” Joel tells PEOPLE. “We just wanted to find the right company to do it with. K-Swiss is cool. It’s a classic label. And skating, graffiti, rock and roll, those are all the things we do. It’s a good marriage.” The shoes, which come in lace-up sneaker and slip-on styles for both men and women and range from $60 to $70, feature DCMA’s signature prints (think skulls, hearts, lightening bolts) with their brass knuckle logo hardware and printed shoelaces. But they won’t be around for long — only 1,800 pairs of each style will be made. Joel’s girlfriend Nicole Richie tells PEOPLE she’s already a fan. “They go along with the whole DCMA style. I actually have a few pairs,” says Richie, who recently designed her first jewelry line with Mouawad, House of Harlow 1960. “I wear them when I’m not wearing heels.” While the rockers say their shoes are for “anyone,” there are a few celebrities they’d like to get in their kicks. “Russell Crowe, Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro,” suggests Benji. Adds Joel: “I’d like to see [our friend] Pete Wentz wearing them. ” They already have two satisfied customers — Joel’s 11-month-old daughter Harlow and niece Clementine, who have custom-made baby versions that aren’t available to the public. Says Richie: “They’re really cute!” K-DCMA shoes are available at dcmacollective.com, kswiss.com and select Finish Line stores. –Marisa Laudadio and Brett Malec
