I have to say that there will not be any purchases of your products in my home again.
Your penchant to be absolutely politically correct with the ad with Degeneres says a lot about your reach for a customer base. It is no secret that your were trying to gain a reaction from the buying public.
Because a blatantly gay woman is the new woman, you must have that market.
You have made an incredible error and fear no backlash from your ad.
I beg to differ. After discussing this issue with several women we have disposed of your products and are encouraging others to do so.
I am sure you think this is petty and ineffective, but I assure you the sales in this area will decrease.
You have no shame.

Ellen’s flawless complection and eyes set her apart and she looks ‘makeup free’, a great natural look which I believe is ‘simply ageless’. I LOVE Ellen. Go girl!!!

Like many, I will no longer buy any Cover Girl products! The use of a lesbian for advertising your products is very offensive. She in her mind is a male counterpart, to a female. This lifestyle
says to me – a female customer, you really do not care about or have respect for women, only for the $$$$$ you hope to get in return for using this person in advertising.

I was a really surprized to hear Ellen make the satement that “Inner beauty is important but not as important as outer beauty” I think that adds to the teen self-esteem issues this world has. I feel inner beauty is the by far more important than outer beauty.

I love Ellen and that’s why I can’t believe she did this add. she’s always saying how she loves animals, but both covergirl and olay perform cruel test on animals every day. They drip toxic chemicals into rabbits’ eyes just so you can have your precious foundation. That’s sick.

I along with all of my friends have just made the decision to ban Cover Girl products because of Ellen DeGeneres being the new spokesperson.

Also the ad is ludicrous in projecting the idea that external beauty is more important than internal beauty.

You have some small thinkers amongst your supporters.
