FIRST LOOK: Ellen DeGeneres’s CoverGirl Ads!

Ellen DeGeneres has been gearing up for her first beauty campaign as the face of CoverGirl and Olay’s newest product Simply Ageless Foundation. This product is a first of its kind — an anti-aging makeup that stays suspended over fine lines and wrinkles, instead of settling into lines which can make you look older. Ellen’s famous face will be the focus of the new print and television ads starting in January 2009. “I’m thrilled to be a CoverGirl,” says Ellen. “I’ve been practicing in my bathroom mirror for years…Now finally, you’ll all be able to see it.” Tell us: What do you think of Ellen’s CoverGirl ads?

I love Ellen and that’s why I can’t believe she did this add. she’s always saying how she loves animals, but both covergirl and olay perform cruel test on animals every day. They drip toxic chemicals into rabbits’ eyes just so you can have your precious foundation. That’s sick.

I was a really surprized to hear Ellen make the satement that “Inner beauty is important but not as important as outer beauty” I think that adds to the teen self-esteem issues this world has. I feel inner beauty is the by far more important than outer beauty.

Like many, I will no longer buy any Cover Girl products! The use of a lesbian for advertising your products is very offensive. She in her mind is a male counterpart, to a female. This lifestyle
says to me – a female customer, you really do not care about or have respect for women, only for the $$$$$ you hope to get in return for using this person in advertising.

Ellen’s flawless complection and eyes set her apart and she looks ‘makeup free’, a great natural look which I believe is ’simply ageless’. I LOVE Ellen. Go girl!!!
