Nicole Richie’s Accessory Philosophy: “More is More”

Jason Merritt/FilmMagic

Nicole Richie’s theory on accessorizing? “More is more,” she says. In keeping with her philosophy, on Friday the fashionista expanded the number of pieces in her jewelry collection, House of Harlow 1960, available at shopkitson.com. Richie, who collaborated with designer Pascal Mouawad to design the line, tells PEOPLE, “I love accessories. You can wear the same jeans and T-shirt every day and make it look completely different just by accessorizing.” Her favorite items from the African and Indian-inspired collection, whose prices range from $28-$250, are the headpieces. “I love having jewelry around my face,” she says. What Recession? Lindsay Lohan’s Leggings Line Flying Off Shelves

Marion Curtis/Startraks

When Lindsay Lohan launched her 6216 leggings line, there seemed to be more than a few skeptics. Leggings for $100? Not in these hard economic times. But, Lindsay has proved them wrong. In fact, Intuition, a celeb-favorite boutique, tells PEOPLE, “6126 is a hot seller for us right now. The new prints (Goddess, Lust and Hyde) are flying off the shelves.” — the same goes for Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Intermix, and Lisa Kline. Her hottest seller? The Mr. President legging, $132, that comes complete with quilted knee pads. And this is just the beginning. The legging designer is planning on producing four collections a year and hopes to add more products. Judging from her own wardrobe of late, maybe mini-dresses and leather jackets? Tell us: Have you bought a pair of Lindsay’s leggings? Would you?
